I haven't tried Windows 8 yet. I plan to eventually, though. Windows 7 works pretty smooth for me (on another PC). I never liked Vista. It gave me more problems than I wanted to deal with after a while.

Also, I don't depend on the PC manufacturers to supply a certain OS for "X" amount of time. I usually head over to Micro Center to see what's in stock (the prices are decent). I know there is one in Philly, so you can give them a look.
