more ff7 goodness *lots of pics*

yeah i really want to believe that they are gonna do a remake. my only worry is that they will change some things for the worse.

just like the metal gear remake for gc, in every way its better than the original, except that they butchered the soundtrack. i manage to put up with it in mgs, but i dont think i could with ff7. i just love that game too much.

oh btw, here a comparison shot between the 2 cloud battle models. i never realized just how detailed the one model is... id say it rivals or even beats the detail of ff8 or 9, just not as textured...

It's kind of odd that they were able to do something that looked that good that long ago, yet that sort of thing was never really used. Most games tended towards the smallest ammount of polygons and relied upon textures almost completely...

An FF7 remake might turn out quite well, seeing as it's not entirely going to be made by a different company. Sure, most of the people that were involved with the FF games left Square after the merger, but that doesn't mean they'd be likely to screw with it too much. Though, I could see something like the battle system being improved in some odd way.

Is it just me, or does nobody actually use antialaising with this game?

i wasnt using aliasing, because it has a tendency to glitch out the graphics with ati cards (unfortunatly the game doesnt much like my brand new radeon x850xt.... ) but also because i use my s-vid out, and play on my tv, and at this resolution you hardly notice the difference.

as for the remake, at least nomura is probably gonna head it up, if it gets made at all. maybe they would change the battle system so its like x-2. those battles were awesome, so much more fast paced. and i like the way different actions change your remaining atb.

Ah, I've never played any of the newer than FF9 games... But that's good to know that somebody who was important with FF7 might be working on a remake. It'd be nice if they'd just come out and really say if they're going to do one... For one thing, they claimed that Advent Children wasn't even intended to be more than just a demo to show off CG abilities...

That's kind of interesting that FF7 has trouble with ATI cards... And supposedly XP as well...

yeah ive heard of problems with xp, but i havnt had any problems. i just put the "chocobo patch" on and its been all good.

nvidia has released a patch, at its users request, but apparantly ati doesnt listen.
