PCSX code device question

Is there anyway to play a PSX game using PCSX and use Gameshark, Action Replay or Codebreaker (or other) codes?

For example i am playing Breath of Fire 3 and i'd like to use a money code found on GSHI. i want to be able to use my Gameshark lite with PCSX but i found it crashes. any ideas? Note i am using Linux that supports RPM's.

get windows and use ePSXe and PEC plugin,get away from linux ,it has no support for the good emus.

Ok so how about ePSXe... got that too. i have never gotten a PSX emu to work in windows EVER. so i will stick with linux.

PCSX in windows works great. The latest version of epsxe is simple awesome, it has a huge rate of compatibility. I'm not sure but every epsxe version has a cheat function somewhere in the menu bar. But I don't know if it's able to use gs codes or if it's just a raw memory usage.
Helder is right, if you really want to play with better support for emulators you should have a partition with windows.

PEC cheat plugin lets you use GS codes and also lets you do searches for them.

And there is also CEP by Dr.Hell, another one cheat program that uses GS codes. It's a great utility.

Thanks i will check these out when i get home. hopefully i will be able to get ePSXe to work. I am running PCSX-df 1.818 now.

If you can get the latest build of epsxe, the 1.7.0. The plugin that, in the fist link, should also work on pcsx if you still prefer more that emu.

Got ePSXe 1.7 on the linux box so when i get home i will try it..... after i play some BoF3 :3

I strangely remembered there is exactly one psx emulator with internal code functions... but it's an illegally compiled Xbox emulator based off pcsx with no source around.

Hmm. found Bleem!, 2 types of PCSX (Pcsx and PCSX-df) ePSXe, MESS, and pSX.

will check these out later. perticularly the PCSX-df 1.9

You can use transfer the save state in the pcsx memory card to a new memory card for epsxe if you then decide to use epsxe.

i wish i could use my real PSX memory cards but i hear that is not supported (even with the PS2 to PS3 USB mem card device)

You can with a dexdrive, but I think the device program is for windows only.

BTW, MESS will most likely run nothing. And pSX is pure shit, sure it has some compatibility but there are better emulators by now.
