The FBI confirmed this week that a relatively new ransomware group known as DarkSide is responsible for an attack that caused Colonial Pipeline to shut down 5,550 miles of pipe, stranding countless barrels of gasoline, diesel and jet fuel on the Gulf Coast.

I think that every app developer needs a robust security system to keep the data safe. When something in your computer or mobile app gets stolen, it can be taken private and used against you. There is no way to recover it once it has been transferred to a new place. It would be like losing your dance moves or your secret recipe for an ice-cream sundae. That's why hiring a security specialist must be a priority for all app developers.
