i dont know what the hell is going on im kinda sick of this.. i was working on the new forum vBulletin5 i told him to update the vBulletin 4.0 to the latest version and hes not been back since.
so the exploit that was used to dump the Database was still active.. so who knows it might have been..

is the new forum.. but im about to just say screw it iv not open it to registration yet because i was trying to fill all the databases get everything set up .. argh: i have taken way to much of my time to try and keep that thing running on the Strings that it was left with, and with the amount of broken crap that was there and Broken Access, just pisses me off

4.0.6 is quite an old version to be running... do you or anyone have a vbulletin license to download a newer version of vb4? I would think from the looks of it so far that only the index file needs to be reuploaded, hopefully it's not worse than that.

Yes, the forum itself is fine, just some of the vBa dynamics and vBa cmps shit is messed up. As well as the index.php for the forum. The DB is all Datenbankfehler!

Yeah, it's frustrating. I just finally gave up because we've been pushing UCF to hand over the reins and domain to someone more interested since around 2007 or so. From what I know of him, it doesn't seem like possessiveness. He just wants to make some small contribution to the community and his friends, and paying the bills is what he can do. Him checking in once or twice a year would be fine if there were miracle versions of all the software with no exploits, and the host was top shelf, or someone else could communicate with them.

I checked my site more often than that, and I was just hosting a few HTML and PHP pages I threw together myself, along with a low-end Wiki.

Alright, I've fixed internal links to point to forum.php instead of index.php and the vba dynamics stuff is disabled. There isn't anything we can do about the links on the main entry page, so just change your bookmarks from http://codemasters-project.net to http://codemasters-project.net/vb/forum.php and you can happily browse a mostly dead forum.

Why make the registration process so difficult? I didn't even receive a confirmation e-mail. So far, guests have more permissions than registered users.

its not difficult ..
I moved everyone to Registered User .. found a Stupid bug in the email again
and rules reading with a Confirmation that you read the rules . .not that hard.
its to keep spam bots out.

Registering isn't difficult, but the process of getting your account approved was is. You could only read the forum rules with a guest account. With no prior knowledge of that as a pending user, you're stuck.

i made a test account .. and you can read the rules once your a registered User.. its the only open section.. so dont know the difference between the registered user and your account that under registered user
