  • 25 reasons we love the Sega Genesis, 25 years later

    WELCOME TO THE NEXT LEVEL

Happy birthday, Genesis! Yes, Sega's second home console was released in the United States two and a half decades ago on August 14, 1989. (In case you didn't know, Genesis launched in the US more than a year before the Mega Drive came to Europe on November 30, 1990.) And while GamesRadar has showered plenty of love in our list of the best Genesis games of all time, there's so much else to love on this big anniversary.

The last 25 years of Genesis/Mega Drive love has been fueled by the tiny details just as much as the huge exclusives. Between the hardware, accessories, advertisements, and, yes, some games, here are 25 unique things that make the case for Sega's most popular system being one of the greatest consoles ever

I still play it especially since I've been modding the shit out of the Model 1 & 2 and making some nice RGB to Component cables to make those games look great.

I recently acquired another Model 2. I forgot how heavy the AC adapter was. It's been years since I booted up mines due to the Sega Genesis Collection and homebrew emus.

I now play Sega Genesis Collection on my PS3 with Codebreaker! how? you have to turn Auto Tray Eject off. but i add new codes via online by using my PS3 controller.

                    Invincibility
                    6026BC48 00000063
                    00000001 0001FE3C

but i think it's wrong number. it's from PAR by the way-

                    http://gamehacking.org/?game=15906&h...all&format=par

credit go to AetherKnight for his Invincibility codes

because you need to add 10hex to the offsets

                      0001FE2C to 0001FE3C

last thing the credits still belongs to original (PAR) hacker
