  • A couple of questions regarding adding new games to the database & Raw GBA Codes

After getting my newly upgraded soft modded original Xbox back, I managed to get back to hacking again. I however came across a couple of issues that leave me puzzled:

    1. While I can add codes to currently existing games, I'm not able to add new titles to the database. I hacked the NES version of Micro Machines, noticed it wasn't listed, but wasn't able to add the title, which means I can't add the codes that I came across to the database.

    2. On my system, I have a GBA emulator that allows me to either enter in codes from most of the available hacking devices such as Action Replay or Game Shark. It can also allow me to hack Raw codes for these games too, however there is no listing for Raw codes in the GBA section of the database. The only code listings are for Game Shark Advance V1/2, Action Replay Max V3/4, & for Code Breaker/Game Shark SP/Xploder. Will there be any plans to add Raw listings to this section of the database as well? Or do I need to list the Raw format under a one of the listed devices? I'm not sure how to proceed on that one.

Hacking games is always fun because you don't know what's hidden in the game.

      1. Game entry modification is only permitted to Administrators and Chroniclers. Hackers can only modify, add, or remove his/her own codes. Micro Machines is already listed in the database.

      2. Are you referring to VisualBoyAdvance? You can easily convert your GBA codes via ARCrypt or by using the site's GBA code converter.
I only bother with things that interest me.

I edited my previous post with links for NES version

Micro Machines were already listed, under unlicensed games

Go into Site Settings (top right corner) and verify you can see unlicensed games and games with 0 codes. It's very rare that the site is missing a game, since all nointro, good, and tosec games are represented.

As for the GBA raw codes, I'm not sure what XPort is referring to. I may fire up the xbox in my kid's room to remind myself. Remember the different devices had different engines, as well as different encryptions. So a raw (unencrypted) code for one device could be different for the others.
Please put all complaints in writing and submit them here.

No. The name of the particular emulator I have is X-Boy. Which has GBA, GBC, & Original GB games.

I was completely unaware that the Xbox had a GBA emulator. I thought you were emulating on your PC.

Before, most of my hacking was done using the actual devices on the corresponding game systems. A few months back, I found a soft modded Xbox on Amazon & managed to get the guy selling it set it up for me. I chipped in an extra $50 for him to add a larger hard drive & had him add numerous amounts of games for NES, SNES, Genesis, 32X, GB, GBA, GBC, Turbo Grafx 16, Lynx, & a few arcade titles that I don't already own on my other Xbox system (which is largely dedicated to mostly arcade titles).

The SNES emulator that I have does allow me the ability to enter PAR & GG codes, but doesn't allow me to hack. However, I can possibly find newer codes by playing with existing codes. Same goes for the few arcade titles. As for the games for the other systems, it will allow me to find cheats using a Raw code format.

I used to use that same emulator on my hacked Xbox and you can change the codes by easily editing the first character and adding or omitting the zeros in the value ( I say this because it's been many years since I fired that thing up). Just so we are all on the same page post one of these Raw codes here and I will show you the way to make them Code Breaker which is raw format already with just the first character changing to specify the data size.

I also will have these posted on my codes page.
Here's a few of the Raw GBA codes I've found using my Original Xbox:

WWF: Road To Wrestlemania - GBA - Raw

Player 1's Special meter is full
                        3004183D:0003

Player 2's Special meter is empty
                        3004197D:0000

Player 3's Special meter is empty
                        30041ABD:0000

Player 4's Special meter is empty
                        30041BFD:0000

                        ------------------------------------------

Deal or No Deal - GBA - Raw

Get an Offer after selecting only 1 Case
                        30042578:0000
NOTE: All the cases won't be chosen in the game. After the 9th offer, you'll be asked if you want to switch cases or not, then the game will end.

Okay, I didn't know they had those already created. I'll remove the duplicates from my page.

I just want to make sure I understand the conversion process:

                            1. I add an 8 to the front of the code. Which would mean that "30042578:0000" would "830042578:0000"

                            2. Then I eliminate the 4th digit in my original code (being the "4") to make the code "83002578:0000"

And this converts it to Codebreaker Raw format?

                              I'm assuming, yes
adding an 8 to the front is for value is XXXX
adding an 3 to the front is for value is 00XX

but just wait for Helder's confirmation
