Please can some one explain how to trace with Bsnes or Snes9X1.43.ep9r8

I've never traced on Bsnes or any emulator before. I would like to do some tracing on Secret of Mana Please help if you can. Thank you

The video I made was for hacking GG codes I didn't go into traces but it's real easy to do. First off set a break point then put a trace before it would normally break otherwise you will have a ton of text files to search through, to turn the Trace feature On/Off simply press the * key on the number pad (if on a laptop you might need to hold the fn key and press whatever key that has the *). This is for SNES9X debugger as for BSNES I don't know off the top of my head.
