How to make SNES GG codes? Well you'll need this http://gamehacking.org/downloads/Snes9X1.43.Geiger.zip to start

Tony's guides are a good way to learn but making GG codes isn't always so simple especially if its a complex code like Walk Through Walls or Hit Anywhere codes. You will need the mentioned emulator and GGConverter which we host on the site (I use it mainly to get the Op codes) and you must understand a little 65816 Assembly to really make anything happen but reading the guides by Tony and trying them out will get you an idea of how some codes are made.

If you think that is not going to help you you could read these threads below with more indepth info but like I said you need to know some SNES Assembly since the more advanced stuff assumes you do.

            I visited Snes9X Geiger's official website: http://geigercount.net/crypt/

And I downloaded the most recent version, which is Geiger's Snes9X 1.51 Debugger (Mark 10 R2). But when I try loading this version, I get an application load error. Does anyone else get this error?

The version that is on GameHacking.org that everyone uses is an old version, which is Geiger's Snes9X 1.43 Debugger (Mark 9 R8). Can you guys download the new version and let me know if you get that same error as me? If you don't, why do you think I am getting this error? If you do get the error, then why would he have uploaded a version that doesn't work?

Thanks. I just downloaded it. What's weird is that even though I downloaded it from the link you posted, I went to that web page, http://geigercount.net/crypt/ , and I could not find that file, http://geigercount.net/crypt/vcredist_x86.exe , anywhere. How is that possible?

Check out Abystus's Video Tutorials for help but for ASM hacking If I show you something you're really not learning much except learning to copy what I did and many times not all games are programmed the same and I will be getting questions or comments that state that you can't make a code for some game. Best thing to do is learn what the ASM instructions actually do atleast the basic ones like LDA,LDX,LDY,STA,STX,STY,NOP,BRA, then go trying to make cheats using that little knowledge and this way you can figure out what the code is doing and you change it.

A video guide really would be helpful though. It's been talked about for awhile, but nobody really has gotten around to making one. It could attract more community members. One of the negatives of written guides, is that it can feel overwhelming to the reader along with making them fall asleep. Watching a video guide to gain the general knowledge (and attract the interest of users) and then reading the guides for more specific knowledge would be ideal, in my opinion.

If I ever get time and a better method of making these videos I will make more in depth and advanced code type videos.
