I suppose the way to do it is to establish an offset using an existing ram code and finding the same code with cheatengine then subtract the ram code from the cheatengine code to get the offset. This my theory on it.

I would prefer to find pointers while the game is running, that way I can narrow down my search when trying to find a pointer for a single address, also the pointer app always tells me no pointers found.

          example
stage 1 hp is at 00280000 and dump 1 address 0x80280000
stage 2 hp is at 00280400 and dump 2 address 0x80280400
in pointer app change offset to 0xFF00

Basically what I meant is how to find the ASM that writes to the address. From the research I've done I don't think it's possible unless you own a USB gecko. I tried Dolphin DebugFast but never got a break using it, I mean I found the ammo address and put write BP on it but it never snapped. Maybe the Dolphin team will eventually find a way to lock down the RAM addresses the the pcsx2 team did, stupid ASLR.
