I understand what you are doing from hoe you've described it, I find it incredible that you could suggest it as a feasible method of finding cheats. From what I can see you basically need somebody who knows what they are doing to find some GG cheats you then just mess about with some of the characters in the GG code so that you have a reasonable starting point/address to start changing parts of the cheat code and hope that it changes code in a advantageous way.... I can see several problems in that:-
1. You need somebody who actually knows what they are doing to create a GG code to begin with. And as you use an actual cartridge unless you have a 'master code' you are screwed straight off as you don't have the means to make one other than hoping another game uses the same ROM checking code.
2. You can't guarantee your results if you have an infinite lives GG code the only way of creating a Invincibility cheat from it would be sheer luck. You are basically stuck with changing somebody else's code in a very minor way...eg change a start on level 5 cheat to a start on level 10 cheat - which is simple enough anyway.
3. Any codes you create would likely be buggy, if you don't know any 68000 and can't display the game's assembly code you really shouldn't be making GG codes.
The fact that you have had a fair bit of success is frankly surprising, the only thing useful that maybe created from this method as a 'side-effect' is cheats that nobody has actively looked for. I know whilst I was teaching myself on the c64 back in 1984 that I created some cheats whilst looking for others with quite nice effects but the method I was using was a bit more refined than just crossing my fingers and I did have a basic understanding of assembler which helps.
I'm sure if you turned the patience you obviously have into using some decent RAM finding tools and learn 68000 you would turn into a skilled cheat finder and realise that you've been groping in the dark looking for the light switch for years..
Hmm... too bad I don't have the original hardware. Sounds fun. (Hacking with the original hardware.)

[21:11:26] (Thunderhacker) type a domain at random and you'll likely land at one of two places
[21:11:29] (Thunderhacker) pron site
[21:11:32] (Thunderhacker) or GSHI
yea all you is doing is changeing 1st 2nd 3rd 6th 7th 8th slot and when you get a weird change in the game just keep changing the 8th slot to make the code better thats all.
ok i have a different method but its useful
say like im playing spider-man vs the kingpin
and im looking for infinite photos i would focus
on the photos numbers and i put in all the same
codes in like this but change the 8th letters like this
AABT-BAVC
AABT-BAVE
AABT-BAV8
AABT-BAV6
AABT-BAVL
and i play the game and take a random picture and the game freeze
write down the code you put in and erase the codes you have in and renter
one code to see which one made it freeze and if it freeze just change the 8th slot to get the correct code

I think the only way a person will understand what they are doing is by trial & error. Some people aren't content with what is in the Game Genie code books or posted on the website. Most of the few codes I've posted are buggy & glitchy. I have indicated that prior to posting. I'm not even sure what you mean by 68000. I knew a good bit about the Playstation 1 codes for Gameshark & some of the codes for Codebreaker for PS2 (before they changed the format). As for the Genesis Game Genie, I understand the basic rules of changing existing codes, but not how to come up with a code from scratch.
My method has been to put random codes up. After getting an effect, even if its an undesireable effect, I will reset the system & write the codes down. Then I delete them one line at a time until the effect doesn't happen. Once the effect doesn't happen, then I know that last codes I deleted was the code that caused the effect. I will then delete the other codes & play with the digits of that code. I generally will change the 1st, 2nd, 6th, 8th, or any combination of them. I also take note of what those changes are if its different from the last effect. If I think it could lead to someone who knows more of what they're doing then I'll post it.

Reason: fixed quote
Hacking games is always fun because you don't know what's hidden in the game.
the 1st and 2nd slot is for modifier
say like you playing
Sonic 3 and you make a code to change the music in
the game by jumping just change it like this
**FT-CAN8
AB
BB
CB
DB
EB
FB
just change the 1st slot when you jump to get a music
then when you don't hear the music anymore just change the
2nd slot 5 times everytime you don't hear the music like this these are the tables
B,F,K,P,V,Z,3,7

Yes, that's not hacking codes though that's just using this:-
If someone asks you for an infinite lives or invincibility cheat and you produce a cheat that gives the character a red jacket (but crashes the game after level 4) after several hours of typing random codes in then you are not hacking but relying on pure dumb luck. If somebody asks me for an infinite lives cheat then I can find a PAR code and the corresponding GG cheat that will not have any random bugs in well under 5 minutes because I know assembly (68000 in the case of the Genesis) so I can actually read+understand the game code.
invincibility is easy just put in some codes like this but it depends on what 4th and 5th slots letter or number to use
AADT-CFBY
BBFT-CAAC
GGFT-CAAA
BY0T-CAAC
just focus on getting hit and
if the game stop or freeze
one of them got to be invincibility
just remember to write em down
so you know which to use
Anyone that would sit and waste their time randomly manipulating a code through guessing to get random effects is not a code hacker. Why would anyone put themselves through the headache of using that method when there are so many other more effective means available such as watching values in the hex editor, setting break points and modifying game code by use of the debugger, or even the basic cheat search?
The method listed in this post is based on luck of the modification chosen at random and will most likely result in codes that only work for particular areas of the game or not at all. It also takes considerably longer to get the effect you are after versus using one of the other proven methods of game hacking listed above. I am not here to tell you that your wrong for doing it your way, but I am telling you that doing it that way is like typing this very message without using the character keys and instead using random alt combinations in an attempt to make the correct characters. There are plenty of documents out there that will teach you to hack correctly thus making your code output that much more potent and reliable.
If it works for you fine, but you really shouldn't be attempting to teach others these methods - or frankly in my opinion even posting the results as it will just lead to loads and loads of buggy codes. I shudder to think of how much time you've wasted on these methods, if you'd spent a fraction of the time learning the proper methods I have little doubt you'd had produced a lot more codes in a lot less time.
It might well of been one of the only ways in the past to make codes on the native hardware without a direct PC connection, but with emulators and debuggers aplenty these methods deserve to be consigned to the dustbin of history - sorry!
If someone is not capable of reading/understanding code then they should learn the basics with making simple PAR codes, and after that pick up a little debugger+assembler knowledge and progress to simple GG codes and then onwards. By all means test/use the codes produced on the native hardware but that's all.
