I read once that all games have joker addresses in order to prevent lock-ups in games. I tried searching for such on SNES and found that there are such values that always maintain the same value for conjugate button presses. I think the only reason we can't use them is because there are no provisions for commands on GameGenie or Pro-action Replay. The ps1 you can simply change the first digit to a "d" to make the code function if this address carries this value then activate the following code. With SNES all you have is constant write. Could this be programmed on an emulator to provide such commands? It was done on MAME emulator.

Jokers on SNES???
That could be programmed in, probably easily. This is one of the things I've been thinking should be done for a number of years, and for the most part hasn't... I didn't know mame had such a feature, but I did know there's at least one NES emu that has code types. If I had a computer by now (which should be the case...), I'd make a stab at trying to do this...

Jokers on SNES???
There really ought to be better than the basic game genie/action replay code support on most emulators, especially SNES. They've done it on NES, and as luigi pointed out, MAME... So you'd think, especially since both ZSNES and snes9x are open source these days, that somebody would've already added that sort of thing...
