Easiest Way of Y-Fixing signal on Psone games (converting PAL to NTSC) using AR/GS

To be honest, I am writing because I am having trouble finding how to seek out/create Y-Fixes on older PS1 games using Action Replay/Gameshark codes. The reason that I wish to use the codes rather than a patch is that I'd prefer to use my original PS games to play rather than make backups.

Anyhoo, I generally use the program PALPAR in order to create codes to change the video from PAL to NTSC, but the Y-axis is still screwed up (well, all except for Earthworm Jim 2; that game seemed to adjust just fine?) I also tried to Y-Fix Code Finder program (and using the actual game's system file) it would fail to find the proper code, or simply give me the code for Y-Axis 1 only, or in some cases, give me a pair of codes that didn't work at all.

So, I ask the gurus of this site, what is the best method to create PAL2NTSC AR codes for the PSone, which would include the Y-FIX? I'm not afraid of a little hard work, but I at least have to know where to begin?
