  • Dreamcast assembly hacks

I haven't been involved in cheat code hacking for probably 5 or more years now, but I remember it being a lot of fun

Anyway, I wrote a couple blog entries about what it was like making assembly code hacks for the Dreamcast back in the day. It might be interesting, or not

Definitely interesting. I always wanted a fixed version of the damn Infinite Specials code for WWF Royal Rumble, but it never ran on emulators. Sad the scene still doesn't have a proper DC emulator that plays everything.

I finally got around to going through my "To Be Added to GSHI" list, and added this guide/history lesson to the Library. Thanks for contributing

I'm glad that anyone actually enjoyed it

I hope nobody took my remark about having to stop hacking because I got a job and moved out of my parents basement as an insult. I loved hacking, it was more just a statement of fact; I didn't really have the time or inclination to hack any cheat codes after I moved out and got a job.

In the past couple of weeks I've been trying to get back to my roots, so to speak, and have started looking at a few hacking/editing projects I'd long since abandoned. Cheat code hacking and game editing is a fulfilling pursuit in and of itself

Yep; most of us have had to stop hacking for a while here and there, because of real life. I know the feeling all too well.

            Hopefully you get well soon
