what exactly is a RAW code?

I've seen this several times in multiple posts, but I'm not sure what it means.

I apologize for asking this, as I'm sure it's been asked several times before.

RAW code is term for unencrypted code.

as most cheat device / software can use as is.

Ah thank you lee4. One final question, and you may remember my post over at CMP about it(I forgot, please forgive me) - if I were to mix encrypted and RAW codes on ANY game, do I need another code to allow them to be mixed, and is the code likely to differ from game to game?

I do have a code from one of the CMP members that allows me to mix encrypted and RAW codes for Syphon Filter: TOS, but I don't know if that is a sort of master code for mixing code types or not.

this same for each game, you only need when Enable code is B4336FA9 4DFEFB79.
Enable code starts with 9 or F, you can RAW codes as is.

I've only ever used codebreaker and AR Max. You can freely mix codebreaker v6 and lower encrypted codes with unencrypted codes, but you need to add an extra line to toggle the encryption off for games with codebreaker v7 and higher encryption. AR Max only excepts its kind of encrypted codes. I'm certain Pyriel had all of this stuff explained in his help file for omniconvert.
