  • Help getting gameshark to show up on n64 emulators

First of all, I'm not asking how to put in cheats and add cheats. I know how to do that much. My problem is that some emulators have the GS button or option. Some 64 emus i can't get to work at all on my pc. But have had nemu64 with gs option. i still have 1964 and project64 both with gs option. But when i click on it " nothing ". What do i need to get that going? I had no luck with gameshark roms. Am i missing a plugin?

I've had almost no experience with N64 emulators in my lifetime. I'd especially not know about the gameshark button. I used to have one of them with the button for my N64, but I don't know how it would work on an emulator. My only place I'd start is by checking any help files for an emulator or visiting their forums. Odds are if you are having trouble with it, many other people have before you and have probably found an easy solution.

Nope!. I read the help file, Googled for help. No luck.
I downloaded a few plugins. Still no luck. Although I had no idea what kind of plugin was needed, I got different kinds
in hopes i would find one that would activate it.

Incase someone ask, right now i'm using project64 1.6

The "GS button" key is for codes that are activated by pressing the gs button on the hardware. That's all it's for. You have to use the emulator's built in cheats system through the menus. With PJ64, you had to enable showing "advanced options" in the settings to be able to add codes for games. With that enabled, open the cheats menu and rightclick to add, if I remember right.
