request what program i can use for convert par codes into adresses?

hi guys, well i think is not a hard thing. i want to know what program or thing you can recommended me for convert par codes into adresses.

is not directly for me, is a request of one guy made me for me codes.

is because i colaborate a little in streets of rage.net with glisp and red crimson with some of my codes...

their do actually a kick ass fantastic hack of "bare knuckle 3 directors cut", with the bikes stage working playable and some other surprises. i really recommended you all go to there for more info and play the actual beta of the proyect

so well, what program i must use for convert my par codes into adresses?

what you mean by address?

what your friend want do?

savestate editing (you need find differences bewteen offset of same hack data. example. savestate address AD68 01 and PAR RAM address FF88F0 01 )
or rom patching (which is not possible, because PAR RAM codes are outside of ROM)

there no converting program can do.

hi, well i say adresses because i think these are the name, like this is more hacking that find codes, really i dont have too much idea of this :P

but the thing glisp want is in fact in the down part (last message) of that post you linked.
him say: "turn your PAR codes into actual hex offsets"

the only few things i know about this are verly limited.. for example, i know that actually put one game genie code into the kegafusion game genie/par option makes that the game genie code appears as game genie, and also by other way, that i always supposed are one memory adress, or the name that this must have

so, it cant be easy maked? i remenber something about the sor3 codes in sor.net old website. they say something about apply one number to the adresses for some raison, that can be easy converted into par codes. and i can do that with follow that instructions, and obtain some useful cheat codes (but not in all the cases of the game adresses they put there).

but i really, i dont know how they know what number exactly i must apply to one adress to convert it into one par code, or the reverse.
and also i dont know if this number i must aply with the windows calculator to that adresses or reversed to the codes, are the same number i must apply with else genesis game...


so maybe do these are too much for me then... ¿? (i dont have idea of hacking in that way. you know, i only know how find par codes... )

many thanks to the 2 guys . even when right now im a little busy with some real life problems, i really apreciated all that help.

and like i say always, im really interested in learn how find game genie codes, because i only know how make par codes.

but like you know, game genie codes can do separate/non permanent hacks very very interesting!

ps: by the way these are the info i read in the past, for convert that adresses into par codes in streets of rage 3.

yes, i follow these instructions there, and i can obtain almost all the par codes from threse adresses, by adding these numbers they explain to the hexadecimal windows calculator. however not all the adresses can be converted into par codes...
perhaps that some adresses need other number to be added for obtain the same in par code form.

these the raison because i do the question: if exist one "universal" way to convert else adress of 1 game into par code, or the reverse: convert else par code into adress...

but like you not say the contrary, i already supposed that this cant be done with par. i need then do the same, but with that gens tracer you mentioned, obtain a game genie code, and then these YES can be converted again in the adress of the game for do that same cheat.

so, these are the way.

It seems you are a newbie in romhacking.
I suggest you you give MESS a try. With its debugger you can convert PAR codes into GG codes very easily.
Just search the forums, Pugsy explains how to use the Haze MD debugger. It uses almost the same commands as MESS. And the good part of this is that once you learned to use it you can use also to hack NES, SNES, GBA, GBC, SMS, GG and lots of other systems already supported in MESS.
Just give it a try.

thanks . well i try mess long time ago, when i try to play some commodore 64 games. in that time, the emulator give me some problems for not get the bios i try to put in it. but i dont try to much with genesis or others...
