I was wondering how people go about hacking saves for use with the AR. Are they all compressed/encrypted? Are the right tools available for us regular folk to do it, or are we missing something that only Datel has access to? I might pick one up sometime just for shits and giggles.

As I recall, the only funny thing Datel did with the files is zip them. Other than some specific games everything is unencrypted. The AR hardware is just a very low capacity USB mass storage device with a USB adapter cable, with the storage itself formatted to FATX. Wouldn't even really need an AR, just some way to get saves to and from an Xbox.
