Need help to find out the differences between two executables

I am currently obssesed with a game and I wanna know how can I see what other hackers did to the original executable to make it work how it does (adding some hidden pre-order content, killing the connection to the online servers, etc)

I’ve tried to compare both in HxD but didn’t get much info out of them.

Any ideas on how to decrypt the info of the executable?
