Opening files to hack games like Just Cause 3 and Mad Max on PC

Hi everyone im new here. Recently I began to play around with Just Cause 3 on pc to alter code. What ive learned is you can use a set of tools from Just Cause 3 mods called gibbed tools to open .tab files to access the folders inside those files to alter whatever you want. Maybe you want a handgun that shoots nuke bullets or something or you want grenades that do 4x the damage. But since the site is dead and so are all of the mods I decided to look at mad max because mad max actually has a very similer folder structure to just cause 3. And mad max has .tab files just like just cause 3. But gibbed tools that are on the just cause 3 mod site cant open mad max .tab files even though there the same type of file. (Im assuming someone made gibbed tools specifically for JC3) So the question is how do I get these files open? Is there a universal tool that can do this? Nvm it was the arc files I needed. And nothing opens these files. Ive tried 5 different apps. I thought for sure freearc would do it.
