Gameshark for psx v1.6c

Hello all long time lerker first time poster.
i dunno if this has ben touched on or not i couldnt find anything related in search.

Any who i picked up a gameshark psx v1.6c but wasnt loaded with any codes and cant update it.
Cant find a cable to hook to modern pc eather.though i have spme old pc stuff wuth printer ports if i need

Any ways i guess a few questions .ive tried xflash ect but eprom is unknown.
Now could i say unsolder the flash chip and say steal one from a old pc what has a larger capacity and then install something to it weather it be caetl or ahoy or even zippy?

Or is their a way to update it through using pc software?

Seeing as its gs v1.6c theirs next to no compatibility for any games that are good lol

Kai kool ya i found those before but the problem i uave is xflash dont detect the flash chip in the cart so im thinking of using an old flash chip from a computer and just replaceing it and then flashing.

Sound it work? Or is easy flash better then xflash.....

Yeara ago i use to do this stuff all the time but its ben years that ive forgotten

Also the chip in the gs is a old amd chip .Am29f010 what is a 5v 128kb chip and the one i was thinking of using is a 3.3v pm49fl002t-33jc from an older gigabite motherboard .....what issues would i be looking at
