Pokemon GBA Games - Edit 1st Pokemon's caught ball in party?
Long time no see, folks,
I am currently working on a project for creating a vast amount of Pokemon GBA codes, but there's somewhere where I am stuck. What I want to do is to change the PokeBall in the summary of the 1st Pokemon in your Party. Let's say you caught a Legendary Pokemon with a Master ball, but you want it in a Luxury Ball instead. (Quite hard to find in Gen III games, must win Master Rank contests more than twice, so it is unavaillable in FR/LG...) Your Pokemon you wish to change the ball must be 1st in your party for my future code to work.
The digit for the Master Ball is 01 while the Luxury Ball's is 0B (Premier Ball is the last in the list with 0C as a digit) This has been done for both Colosseum and XD by a guy named Ralf, so why not the GBA games? Save file editors are able to edit a captured Pokemon's ball, but for those who can't link to a PC might want that as an AR code instead. Should my code be 8-bit, 16-bit or 32-bit to work? Thanks for the help.
