  • I need help hacking a code w/ PS2dis.

Um.. hello. I'm new here and I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this.

Well, I'm currently trying to teach myself how to use ps2dis because there's a certain code I need hacked for a Japanese PS2 game called Bleach Blade Battlers.

I've read many faqs about ps2dis and attempted to hack a couple of codes before but never actually succeded. I'm just no good at it.

Anyway I wanted a code for infinite power (aka reistu, spirit energy, etc).

I found a quote labeled "Infinite" so I clicked on it and it took me to the address, then I marked it with space and pressed F3 to go to it's referers.

It found referers and I tested about six lines down starting with the address 001190d4 and datas 00000000 to 00000003..

Anyway, it didn't work and all of the other quotes don't really make any sense at all. I don't know where I should look.

At the very least could someone tell me which quote might have the raw code for power that I'm looking for?

If anyone is interested in helping me you can get the elf here:

I'll take a look later, if I get home early enough. Have you taken a look at this thread: http://gshi.org/vb/showthread.php?t=1728

    ...and grabbed CMP's LabelMates?

I'm about to leave work, though I still need to go fix a PC and run some errands. While I'm gone, you could help by posting how this game's "reistu" quantities work. Is it a metered system? If so, is this meter fluid (as in, does it not seem to have a finite set of possible amounts), or does it have, for example, 8 bars that can be full or empty? Is it a number system, as in an RPG? If it isn't a fluid meter, can you tell us the minimum and maximum amount of "reistu" possible? This could help greatly.

          It uses a gauge that fills up every time you attack. It doesn't use blocks or anything like that so there's no way to tell how much it takes to fill it up. ; ;

So if you attack once, it fills up? When does it empty?

[Edit]: For anyone else reading, this game is a four-player fighting game. A little more info can be found in the Wikipedia article here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bleach:_Blade_Battlers

I'm a little interested in these labels and surrounding areas:

              "AIZEN00"
              "BYAKUYA00"
              "CHADO00"
              "GIN00"

...and so forth (which seem to include the names of playable characters, as well as a few names I didn't see in the list), as well as the areas surrounding these two:

              "PLAYER %2d %s: [%2d]%s %s"
              "PLAYER %2d CTL%d: [%2d]%s %s"

Of unrelated interest are these three, which I would like to play with later.

              "COMPLETE"
              "Infinity"
              "DEBUG BATTLE"

Unless the programmers used "Infinity" for debugging, or there's an in-game cheat for infinite something, I doubt you'll find your code there. However, it's still possible, so I'm not discouraging you from toying around with it.

Also, though it won't be of much importance until the end, which cheat system are you using (ie, Codebreaker, GameShark, XPloder, Action Replay, Cosmic Cheat)?

And could you post any already-hacked codes for this game?

I'm using a Codebreaker version 4 because it's easier to hack codes for and it uses RAW codes.

These codes were already hacked by someone for Codebreaker v4 to v6

Whoa, I made a mistake. There are 3 blocks total in the power gauge.

It fills up little by little every time you attack and use special moves.

An average super move takes about 1 block of power.

More powerful supers like the character's Bankai (ultimate attacks) take all 3 gauges.

                    I hope this helps.

Also, are there any other files on the root directory of the disc that might contain useful data? Sometimes the SLUS references another file for most of its functions.
