    say if u were looking for a color mod for links tunic.its kinda dark green.would u use that chart at top of post and try searching for those dark green values using
    a gameshark or wutever to find the color mod?

    No, that's the wrong approach. This may be a little difficult, because sometimes its hard to tell if something changes.

    Start an Unknown Value Search.

    Now go to a place where the object you want changes color. For example, darker or lighter.

    Now do a Different To search.

    Now stay in the same place, and do an Equal To search.

    Now go to a place that makes the object a different color.

    Repeat until you have under 10 possibilities. The correct code is the one that makes the object stay the same color.

    Then you can edit the value to be higher or lower. (The last four digits)

    For most games, 0000 is the darkest and FFFF is the lightest color. Only use four hex digits, not the six digits in that chart.
