  • Ps1 hacking or encoding questions codes

I wanted to open this thread because not only I love the playstation 2 but the one that most fascinates me is the playstation 1 and I wanted to learn how to go find joker command for ps1 or go hacking ps1 codes.
I use my ps2 with UlaunchELF and I have open ps2 loader 0.9.4 beta, codebreaker, Popstarter beta last version, right now for me to be able to play ps1 and ps2 games I use the network cable. And from there you enjoy my old games of ps1 and ps2... just this I say just so that they know a little the details of what I have. Same to start I want to know how to find a joker command and if that tools are used

Thank you very much for the information lee4! But ... I want to start by order. I want to start with how to find a joker command with cheat engine and as far as I know, to get started I have to enter the option "Memory view" you tell me if I am mistaking? Or is not it ??

I have read the thread that you have passed me and the topic about hacking codes there is something that has me worried is this.

Simple take an existing code in both formats

Existing code GS - Existing code CE = difference

Difference + new CE address = new GS code

I do not have a Hidden & Dangerous gameshark ps1 code to do comparison and find the differences between the 2, and then convert the result with CEGS

Thank you so much Hybrid and lee4! Now that I have to have the codes to check them I will know if they are true or not, so I'm already learning how to find codes. Tell me, if I'm doing it wrong!

With Cheat Engine, it should be pretty easy, I'd think. Just stand in one place, initiate an unknown scan, press a button, and scan for differences. Then just keep pressing different buttons or whatever works (you can hold down buttons and search for "unchanged" or I think "same as first" is an option too). You can also look up the button mask values, and do known value scans if you want.

The only complication would be that you'd need to use a controller, as switching focus to cheat engine will probably clear the input if you try to do everything with a keyboard.

Thank you so much Pyriel! I was waiting for them to answer that. I'll try it now

Good. I work! I found these 3 joker commands

                        D00663D4 ????

                        D00663E4 ????

                        D00665FC ????

Pyriel, I have a question. I have this code
                        Sten Gun Ammo
                        8006EF7C 0000

And I want to know, how to create a value to this code so that when shooting shots with the Sten Gun, the number of bullets is frozen. Not that they are diminishing but, that the value of the bullets is frozen. The default value I put it is 001F, which would be 32 bullets. And many thanks Pyriel

I don't know. Looking at other codes, that one is probably overwriting the actual quantity data. If you're entering a value and it's still decreasing, there's either some kind of lag in the cheat engine, and it should go right back up, or if you're still using Cheat Engine itself, you need to tick the "Freeze" box. 8 is a constant write, so there's no reason why it shouldn't write constantly if you entered that into a GameShark or PEC or something like that.

Edit: Well, that or what you have there is meant to be a constant or semi-constant maximum that gets copied when you reload. In which case you haven't found an "infinite" code, you've just found one that changes the starting value. I don't know the game even a little bit, so all I can do is speculate based on what little information you've provided.

Ahhhh. Equally with the value 00F1 is more than enough! Just wanted to know if you could create an infinite value, just by activating the code with the value 00F1 in gameshark v5 or codebreaker v10 of ps2 which is the one I use for Popstarter the bullets are left in 31, without adding it with any joker command when moving The character in Hidden & Dangerous. Thank you very much for the information of the joker command with cheat engine Pyriel,Hybrid,

I just want to learn to do these things. So in the not too distant future I can help with the topic of finding or making own codes for a game, and besides I wanted to learn how I relate to the topic of hacking ps1 and ps2 codes. I hope it's no trouble what I'm saying now. LOL
