  • GBA: Item Modifiers and Quanities

Oddly enough people still ask me how to find them type of codes.
How hard is it to look up a value, and keep up with it?
Fine, I will show you a very easy short cut.

I will use Final Fantasy IV (U) as an example...
Your going to need lots of money so I will just give you Max Money

    32Bit
    020072BC 05F5E0FF

    16Bit
    820072BC E0FF
    820072BE 05F5

Go to an Item shop and Buy how many potions you want, I will Buy 11

I will do a search for 11 (B) and I will get 545 Results, now I will buy 11 more
Now I will have 22, but Final Fantasy IV uses the old school sytem so check your Item screen

Yup, your Potions are in 2 slots those sneaky bastards, so do a sort to bring all your potions together.
Now do a search for 22 (16)and you should get one result 02006EE6

Dissemble to the address and you get a similar screen

Let us modifiy it to have 99 Potions, so add a cheat and put 63 as the value.

Congradulations! You have Item Quanity Slot 1.

Right above it you saw 02006EE4 00CE, lets mess with that address to see what effect we might get
I am going to use the value 54

Now you have 99 Iron Arrows. Congradulations! you have now found Item Modifier Slot 1.
And also discovered 2 values so you have work on the value list
    54 Iron Arrows
    CE Potions

But just looking at the dissemble you can tell that 02006EE8 is Item Slot 2 modifier and
02006EEA is the Item Quanity. Dont believe me?
    Put in your Codebreaker
    32006EE8 0001
    32006EEA 0063

You should get 99 Fire Claws in Slot 2 :P

You can keep going straight down the address and discover all the item slots and quanities.
These is pretty easy stuff, and you should be able to pick up on it faster.
