I need help actually applying cheats in Visual Boy Advance.

I am trying to apply cheats for the North American versions of Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance and Mortal Kombat Tournament Edition for Game Boy Advance and they are not working. The emulator I am using is VisualBoy Advance. I am going to the cheat list, clicking on CodeBreaker, copying and pasting the CodeBreaker codes in the CodeBreaker, making sure the codes are on "Enabled" and clicking OK. They don't work. None of them work. I am even trying to do the enabling codes and they still do not work.

What am I doing wrong? How can I fix this?

Make sure the option to "disable all cheats" is not selected (it's on the cheats drop down menu). That's usually the culprit.

If that's not it, then the codes are for a different version of the game.
