I've always wondered this, especially when concerning the situation regarding Star Ocean. From what I understand, the game utilizes a chip called the SDD-1 which decompresses the game's sprite graphical data on the fly. If there was a way to inject an SRM save data that synchronizes with Part 2 ie, a password checksum, could this method be used as a workaround for current gem (2.1+) Super Everdrives?
