PJ64 and newer version

I got PJ64 version 2.0 and I wonder if it is necessary to download the newest one (2.2). Also, I tested GS codes for TWINE (The world is not enough) for N64 and some codes don't work.

Is it a good emulator for hacking codes too?

Also, I went recently to their website (www.pj64-emu.com) and is it normal everytime you want to download it warns you it's a thread website?

It's best if you use Bizhawk for N64. PJ64 is too old, too fickle.
