Help Request: MTG: Duels of the Planeswalkers 2015
Over on slightlymagic, we mod the game MTG: DotP. We've done this for each iteration of the game from 2010 to 2014. However, with the newest incarnation, 2015, the files that need modified have been encrypted. Many users, myself included, have tried our best to find a way to read the files, but while we managed some small progress, none of us are skilled enough to manage to find a solution. The only way we can think of to figure out the method of opening the files is to trace the program as it runs. One of us managed to run the program with OllyDbg, but didn't know how to go about finding the functions necessary for reading the files.
If anyone here can either look into this or help me to figure out based on tracing the program how to read those files, I and everyone else in the DotP modding community would be extremely grateful.
My experience with this kind of thing is quite limited, so if the only option is helping me to do it, I'll do my best; however, that doesn't mean it'll be a smooth venture.
