  • Code causing gameplay issues

I have recently hacked a code for Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus and it causes several gameplay issues like the hook in "A stealthy approach" not working and clue counts being reduced for no reason. I already know this is not caused by my code because this issue has been found to occur with other codes and even with 3rd party memory cards.

I would greatly appreciate any help I can get on this matter.

I just happen to read something from Charles McDonald (no relation to Ronald) about how 3rd party memory cards are slower to access and write and it might cause some games to have issues but not sure it is what's causing your problems. It might likely be a form of protection in the game and if you really want help then be more helpful to us by including your code and other codes you use that makes this happen otherwise we have no idea of where to look as to what might be the problem.

its your job find which codes cause the problem.

what cheat device software you using?

your game is USA or European?

I already posted some codes which cause the problem. I'm using a codebreaker 10.1 and the USA version of the game.

There is a better PCSX2 debugger now. Use it to see what is deducting the clue counts. You're bound to find out why sooner or later.

Just tried it. I get a whopping 10 fps while using this version of PCSX2. Therefore the debugger is useless to me.

Did you read the rest of that thread? If not, you would have known that to overcome the sluggish performance, was to add the plugins from a stable version (current or older). The debug builds are slightly slower than the stable ones. Also, apply whatever settings you use on the stable version for this game, on the debug build. You may get better performance.

I tried the plugins from a stable build and no improvement.

Edit: I don't care anymore. I'm done with this thread.

Performance should be noticeable off the bat, unless you're running outside of native, or your specs are holding you back. Hopefully, by now you're using an updated version of the debugger. The purpose of this post was to ask if you made progress on stopping the possible protection (I'm aware of your edit, too)?
