I am getting ready to post a bunch of codes I made for this game a long time ago and I need to test them. Since then I had to buy a newer copy (1.1 greatest hits) as the old one started freezing during loading. Can anyone burn me a copy of 1.0 (I own 1.1). P.S. 1.0 is the orangereddish colored disk and not the silver one.

If you don't get that burned you can post the codes anyway and we'll post them. I assume you tested most of them at some point when you had the game.

That's one hard to find game. Can't find it anywhere. It's like it doesn't exist...

        Re: Need Mortal kombat 1.0

Yeah, I've been looking forever. One of my kewl codes that I never finished allows stage fatalities at anytime in the game (bug to work out is you have to wait for timer to run out befor you get a "you win-fatality message"). It also allows the pit fatality to be done on the bosses (Motaro on the spikes looks funny and who wouldn't want to see the bosses die". of course it could probably be ported easily. I can also open all the treasure (not easily done on psx I assure you. Actually a fairly complex code) and allow fight the same person or "E" match over and over, loser finishes the winner code is funny, and I have some other crazy stuff. I hacked them and kept going writing tons of paperwork. Some codes I dare say are lost.

Anyway, I hate codes that don't work which is why I really test them before I post them.

You mean Mortal Kombat Trilogy? I have that game. Its not 1.0 tho. Its the greatest hits instead. That was one of the games I wanted to hack but never got around to doing it. It's one of those games with great hacking potential but noone touches it for some reason.

Well, I have that game, the original MKTrilogy, so can and could test any of those codes if you want.

As far as burning and sending, not sure I can do that, my net speed is well dail up, and otehrwise, not enough room on my HD to even put that game.

As is, heck to see or understand that game is so rare, I mean I can understand abit, ALL PSX games are becomming more rare by the day now, heck nothing PSX wise at my local GameStop's anymore BUT those crappy sports games that they are trying to sale for $0.40 (yes I said 40 cents, heck I would buy them myself and kill the game just for the jewel cases if they did not have six million proce tags on them and all else.) Kind of odd also, hell those PSX type jewel cases are rare and you cannot find anymore as well. (everything is not that slim disc mess blahhhh well the empty cases are, buy a CD and standard jewel case is still in effect, also on that well I do hate those slim cases, sure saves space, but game wise, CD wise, cannot see the darn titles on them) And then heck they started doing DVD cases that way as well....

Well, anyway...still odd that game is that rare..... heck my cousin has one, the original version also, it does not work, has been sitting up under a bed/dresser for 8 years now, they found it like three eyars ago, tried it in a PSX it would not read, so darn dusty and dirty and big scratches, so heck they tossed it back under the bed and dresser. (My cousisn house , that room is a 'play' room, you know where toys and video games are all strung about all over the floor and been there for some 12 years or more even. Was my cousin's play area first but she grew up, so now became my other cousin's children...so it continues for years and years....anyway I know off topic but ehh just reminds me of a perfectly good game gone to waste pretty much. and main reason even though grown now, my cousin does not get to borrow 'nothing from me'.

Yes Hiro, it is a fantastic game to hack. Maybe you could create codes for the 1-1 version that you have as I do not have enough time to also port the codes.

true Amy, though dial up wouldn't matter if you don't have the HD space then yeah you couldn't burn a copy (besides, I know my external modchip plays imports but not sure if it plays backups.

Yeah, I'd like to port them. I need to get myself another PSX tho. One with a port in the back for my gspro. I will be returning to work shortly so I should have the money to do it. So long as I can find a place locally, perhaps I could do it over the net too.

they run about $20. Do you also use GSCC2000 to hack with your Gspro? It really is one of the best ways to hack though I would like to try psdeug one day.

Not exactly a code thing, but more of a bug comparison, MKT 1.0 (the original release) is particularly buggy and freezes on certain fatalities (Rain can't use his lightning shocker fatality on Noob Saibot, otherwise the game freezes) was most of the bugs at least partially or fully fixed for MKT 1.1?

Yeah, there was some other bugs. I remember doing some brutalities on enemies near the corner and passing thru them and not finishing the move. I remember somehow making my Shang Tsung transform to a character and transforming back to the wrong color character or something. And then you would use that characters moves while being Shang Tsung. I can't remember how I did that tho. Anyway yes, pretty much all the bugs from the previous vrsion were fixed.

hehe that is a cool yet messy bug, and not sure about the 1.1 version as said only other game disc of this game I know of some million of miles around me is sitting up under a bed and dresser with deep scratches all in it. (still darn odd how rare this game well heck 'any PSX game' is these days.

Anyway got bored and just tried that bug you said Bloodreigh, and well you are right it messes up doing that like you said.

Also as luigi said.... well PSX systems alot of the older ones with the port are for sale all around, kind of getting 'rare' now. Mainly because they are breaking ALOT now, and no one fixxes them right. Otherwise heck, getting the parts to repair them are more rare then a whole 'used' system again in most cases. Those darn spindal things break easy now and repairing them is well a pain in the butt....mostly just ordering them from the net.

Well, you do not have to order them, IF you have old beat up CD players (walk man's) around, heck, break them apart and take the spindal from them. I did that a few years back before I was able to find the PSX Parts website that still was working then....so.

Now-a-days, just odd and also scary how such wonderful game stuff got and gets ever so rare all the time, meaning the machine and it's parts as well as the games even.

Goodness, I even wonder if PSX and it's games, well some of them are more collector's items now, as is right now, I know of a few 'people' around my home and area who would pay me around truely now $1000.00 for a working PSX system and a 'few' favorite games.

NOT something I am nor would do, well unless I am ever starving or such, I mean the games they want are well, some rare ones, Final Fantasy 7 and Tacktics, and Chrono Cross ammong others, the NON greatest hits versions at that, too rare to sale for a mere $1000.00 I would and should say really.

                          Re: Need Mortal kombat 1.0

My favorite glitch is to put in the level select code and pick any board where you can uppercut someone to another board (like scorpions lair). Then pick Chameleon (hold HP HK Run Block back while on any masked ninja untill the fight starts). When the fight starts chameleon will keep changeing into various ninjas. He fades out and becomes invisible very breifly when he changes. Now either player does an uppercut on the other when chameleon is changeing. (if you time it so that you do it exactly when he is invisible). then when you get knocked upstairs you will not change anymore for that round and you will stay as one of the ninjas. If you were invisible you will stay invisible for that round. Invisible ninja!

I found that one myself and have never seen it on any code site.

well, anyone with a cd burner, enough HD space and the NERO program can make copies of it. I see no harm if you own a copy of the game as you are allowed to back up your software (Oh, and of course, they need a copy of the 1.0). I don't think anyone would complain about it being a different programming version.
