  • Castlevania SOTN: Action Replay or Gameshark code for 100% Bestiary?

    Hi there!

Due to a bug in my save file, I can't complete one entry of the bestiary... The Fire Warg don't drop the Karma Coin and I really need to complete my bestiary for my perfect save file... My save file counts more than 1000h of gameplay with all the max stats so I'm not so hot to create a new one...

So, I wondered if there's a way to complete it like an Action Replay or Gameshark code? I saw there's one for the Saturn version but I didn't found it for the PSX version...

    Thanks for your help!

    Please help! ^^

If there's no existing code for that, how can I find a way to make my own?

Thanks for your reply but my problem is still the same...

I already have the full list in the bestiary but as the Fire Warg can't drop any item bue to this bug, I only have the Turquoise but not the Karma Coin which is still listed as ??????????

If it can helps, I'm playing on the Japanese version and the Fire Warg is the number 117!

Edit: I'll try it and tell you if it works! ^^
So, as the Fire Warg don't drop items, do you think it is possible to find a code to allow an enemy to drop his items again?

Thanks again for all your precious help!

Being the Japanese version would have helped me to tell me this instead of wasting time on the USA version. I will look at it again in a few days.

Sorry, I didn't knew that codes are different between them as the codes of the US version are working in my game...

It works fine in the Japanese version I tried, best bet for you is to use the code but replace the FFFF with 0000 to wipe out the whole list then save game and edit the code back to FFFF to give you the full list. Chances are you are using a patched ISO and it somehow messed that up but the code on my Japanese ISO that is also patched works no problem.

Thank you so much Helder! You're my hero! It worked flawlessly!

I'm playing on an original PSX with an original Japanese game but as I heard, bugs like this can happen when you reach the max stats and counter stop...

I was sad because I achieved my perfect save with all the best possible stats and the Muramasa Lvl 999 which took me more than 1000 hours without cheating... The only glitch I used was the money glitch with the Sword Familiar to buy the Duplicator (maybe it was that glitch which made the Fire Warg bug because I maxed the Turquoises and that's the first items dropped by them...)

                    Thanks again for your help!

Glad that worked for you, I wonder if the ASM codes work on that version. If you could try the code for 1 Hit Kills Most Enemies on the site and post back that would be great.

Just tried and it doesn't work but has a strange effect on Richter... I've started a new game and Richter was unable to run, if you try to run, he's running without moving...

Yea its what I assumed, ram codes work but ASM codes don't oh well.

Good code. Never needed one. I completed the drop list on my own back in the day.
