ive always used system specific emulators, so this is a first time for me.

bumping an old post, i know, but these cheats wont work on real hardware, both my PAR and PAR2 redscreen with pier solar no matter what, and the game genie codes freeze at various points, usually in battle-Jon

There's probably more checksum routines. I haven't played the game since making the first 3 codes, and it's tough for me anyway since I don't have a PS cart, and it won't work on my everdrive md.

What codes are you using when you get freezes? If it's the exp multiplier it might be the culprit since it overites some instruction which might be used in battle for something.

the in battle codes freeze
the money code does not
it gives you infinite (around 5000) money for awhile, and then stops working altogether, your money will start decreasing normally.
the thing to do in this case would be buy your items with the code on, untill you run out of money, save, reset, ad naseaum

codes just tested on real hardware, same revision of ROM

i'd test the par codes also, but both of my new pars won't play well with pier solar
(its a damned funny cart)

doesnt seem to do anything, gather related or otherwise, no effect

Could be a different rom version, I made the codes and tested them on various saves and loads and all work with out issue but I will look at it again just to be sure. It could be the way this game is programmed and perhaps the GG can't access all areas of this rom.

this was just a real hardware test.
the cart version is the same as the ROM (rev A)
its a bit of a Niche game anyway, how many people have both gg and pier solar (Damin Mance would :-P)

Both Pro Action replay and Pro Action replay 2 redscreen, probably need some sort of master code.

Well if it works on the emulator I have no way of making it work any better on hardware since it probably isn't supported due to the custom mapper. The master code is the one posted by rimsky in page 2 of this thread.

You were correct i was wrong-i have the us version (english spanish pourteguese)
Your codes are for the european version german and french language option

I'm playing Pier Solar in Retroarch, but I can't find any tutorial explain how to use the cheat codes. Could you explain me?

Gensplus gx for the gamecube supports codes.I have used the some codes on this thread with this game just fine.I think gens plus gx was also ported to the wii but I am not sure.
