created folder named "patches" or whatever you want, inside the emulator folder.
cheat files are plain text files named [insert game name here].cht in the patches folder
unfortunately you need load and save the cheat file manually

    cheat search is very basic

the pcsxr he downloaded before probably was out of date and plugins was not 64bit compatible.

the link I post couple days ago was a newer version, and the plugins updated for win7.

OK, I have several issues and questions, which may seem stupid as hell to some, but this is all new to me.

I created the .cht file, complete with codes, within the patch folder, but the codes won't work. I have made sure they're enabled, and loaded with the correct ISO. Now, when entering the codes, do I leave a space between the addy and the value? Are there keyboard combos to bring up the configuration window as there are for EPSXE? (I found that I can speed up playtime by pressing "delete", then "end' twice, same as with EPSXE.) Are there other keyboard codes for other functions?

I assume I must boot up the ISO before loading any codes. I can bring up the config screen from my taskbar, but I don't know if that has any bearing on the codes working or not working. I know the codes are correct, and they've worked with a real Game Shark. Got'em from this site.)

Again, please bear with me...this is all new to me!

OK, I've been able to enter a code in a .cht file within the folder, but I cannot get them to work. And I've been using a very basic code for a test that I know works with Game Shark and on EPSXE..."Unlimited Gil" for FF7. I have tried loading it, making sure it was enabled, but no go. Any suggestions?

(BTW, thanx for your help so far!)

Hmm, seems legit, you were right to ask lee4, he knows a lot about PSX/PS2.
                  You could try this combination:

                  3009D260 00FF
                  3009D262 00FF
                  or this
                  3009D261 00FF
                  3009D25F 00FF

                  Just a suggestion.

EUREKA! I knew it was something simple! I simply load the codes BEFORE starting to run an iso! And, 47iscool, your codes work as well.

BTW, is your age 47? (If it's any of my business) I will be 65 in less than a month.

                    And again, THANX, 47iscool & Lee4!

                      Your welcome & no I'm not 47, I'm 22.
The reason I use the number "47" is because at the time
I came up with it I was playing a lot Hitman Blood Money,
and the main character is called "Agent 47"

About the codes I posted, I learned some info about different code types from lee4,
I broke down the code you posted in multiple parts & I'm glad it all worked out for you.
