  • Phil The Hammer's PSX Cheat Device Codes

In my infinite wisdom, I missed the code-hacking feature in the PEC plugin until I found it by accidentally hitting CTRL + "h" on my keyboard.(I told myself, "Read the directions next time, Dumb-Ass!) Well, anyway, I shall hack codes for a certain cheat device; you'll know which device by the codes themselves.(I take it we still aren't allowed to name any cheat devices in our posts?) I shall post'em in this thread as well as place them in the database.

I INVITE ANY OTHERS MAKING CODES FOR THIS PSX CHEAT DEVICE TO PLACE'EM HERE ! !

    HERE'S MY FIRST CODE:

    PSX Final Fantasy VII

Several hours' time in submarine game(Not infinite time)
    300AD3A7 FFFF
    (Use if 800AD3A8 8CA0 doesn't work.)

A humble start to what I hope are many more PSX codes!
I come from a smart family...In the Civil War, my great-grandpa fought for the WEST.

    BTW
its this 300AD3A7 FFFF total incorrectly use of codetype and not aligned
but this 800AD3A8 8CA0 (by KingEdgar0) is correct use of codetype and is aligned properly

PEC does not align the memory properly

Please use PCSX Reloaded to make proper codes

I can't get PCSX to work. Maybe because it was originally made for MAC. I have all bios & plugins, but no go.

Still no go for PCSX Reloaded. However, I've found a substantial number of people use the PEC plugin, so, unless/until I'm able to hack PSX codes on my PC for the device named after a fish, I'm gonna make PEC codes and label them as such.

besides the one I posted the other day, here's s'more I just hacked:

PSX Madden '98 PEC codes(Likely won't work with other cheat devices)

          999 Creation Points(Disregard display)
          8018C620 03E7
Have Max All Abilities(Use with Creation Points Code)
          3018C634 0064
          3018C635 0064
          3018C636 0064
          3018C637 0063
          3018C638 0064
          All other Attributes 100
          80163654 0064
          80163652 0064
          80163650 0064
          8016364E 0064
          8016364C 0064
          8016364A 0064
          80163648 0064
          80163646 0064
          80163644 0064
          80163642 0064
          80163640 0064
          8016363E 0064
          8016363C 0064
          8016363A 0064
          80163638 0064

Activate these codes only in Creation mode, or the game will freeze.

what kind pc (including spec and windows version) you have?

            what the actual problem?
            pcsxr doesn't load?
pcsxr give error? (if error, post the error message).
            pcsxr can't run specified game?

pcsx reloaded on my windows 98se videocard 8mb and 64mb ram (showed for example and giggles)

My PC is Windows 7, 64 bit OS, 8GB RAM, Intel Core i7 processor, 3.40 GhZ. It's functioning perfectly.

PCSXR loads fine, but that's as far as it goes. I have all the necessary drivers. I have tried both placing them in the PCSXR folder and leaving them on my desktop, tp no avail. The configuration screen appears, but all windows in it remain blank.

Could it be a 64-bit problem?

After downloading it from the link Lee4 provided, I opened the folder, used the "extract" button in the toolbar near the top of the window to extract all files to a new folder, opened that new folder, clicked on the "application" at the bottom of the list. I then configured it same as I did EPSXE, using the configuration window that came up similar to the one in Lee4's post above. Now, I gotta figure out how to apply cheat codes and get the cheat search to work. But it plays ISOs fine and works with my XBOX controller.
