  • help with EPSXE...

I downloaded EPSXE + BIOs and plugins from a site often used by many members here, but when I try to run it, I get a maeeage, "Program cannot start because burutter.dll is missing from your computer." This file is included in the EPSXE file, but I don't know how to cure this prob. Any suggestions?

So you have burutter.dll in the same directory as epsxe.exe? Try copying it to the /windows/system32 folder and see what happens. You may need to download and install the DirectX runtimes.

Try the no$psx emulator, no bios needed and it works rather well.

        Hi!

I have EPSXE to the point where it will play games from the CDs, but it won't play ISOs, nor can I install the PEC cheat plugin. My Direct X is upta date, V.11, & I was able to install PEC on my desktop, as well as its being in the "cheats" folder within the EPSXE folder.. However, if I follow the directions for installing it, it won't come up in the EPSXE Video Configuration window.

My PC is 64-bit, uses Windows 7, with 8GB RAM.

Any suggestions? (I had no luck with no$psx.)

You have to try different CD plugins and see which work on ISOs.

Hey, I found out the prob! The ISOs as downloaded from the source site are in .emc mode. I used a little tool called Gemc to change them into .bin mode, which EPSXE will run. Hope this info helps other gamers who are having the same probs I did!

Thanx again, Helder! Soon, I should be able to start hacking PSX codes again!
