well, i been trying to find the battletoads & double dragon genesis select char, but saddly i cant. :P
maybe is that simply this game not allows you to play as enemies... but the truth is that these enemies looks that works like the heroes chars. ¿?¿?

anyway, you already have one select character code in the cheat database. and is the same code that i found.

that code makes you can change the char (the 5 heroes), however not works when you are on the stage. only works used before start one stage.


i call this kind of codes "select cursor codes". cause they affects to the select player cursor position, and sometimes gives you the access to secret chars, but others times not.

for can select secret chars, the best way is find one "select body code", that usually let you change the char in the middle of the level, or after lose a life.

that kind of codes, can be finded using the "equal/different" method.
this is do one save state when you have one character in the stage, and then create another save state playing with other different character.

the method is the follow:
------------------------
for start the search enter the char that you want (same), and then select else other char avaliable and say this is
"different". now enter again the char you wanted and say "same", and then select another different character avaliable and say "different" again.

after repeat this process many times, and using all the "diferent" chars possible for do those comparisons, usually you can get the body code. that is the best select character code possible.

the save states are for advance more fast in do or even repeat some comparisons beetwhen the char you wanted to search, and else other. this way is more fast repeat the same chars comparisons without need to start a game every time.

i try to find the select char cheat on btt&dd at this way, but nothing :P


another thing, for start to learn how find pro action replay codes, the best is use the par (pro action replay) feature on kegafusion and one old mame32 before version 126.

but that mamepp version that you say... are you using one msdos based version? cause is much better use one mame32 windows version. in fact, i never use one mame msdos version...

the only thing i was found are some select enemy codes for double dragon 1 on genesis. that allows you to fight against a billy enemy.
however, i dont find yet (if this is possible) the select char code for the players.
in genesis find this is also rare :P. and i dont know if i can do it or not...
also, i found some codes that allows to multiply the enemies into 6 or more. that is curious too...

i will try to write some tips for you can lean how to find some basic things using pro action replay on old mame32 emulators or using kegafusion.

usually almost all the games works right for find codes with they. only some cause problems and dont let you to find nothing.
