  • Help with Hana no Star Kaidou (famicom), possibly a level modifier.

I was talking to Rey at HG the other day about this. Basicly the thing seems to freeze between levels 5 and 6. Now there are no passwords, and this problem doesn't seem to go away on any particular emulator.

Now what I was told was that I'd need a level modifier to reach level 6. I myself am rather inexperienced in coding, and so I was told to make my request here, basicly. Thing is I'd greatly appreciate any help given, because I'd like to finaly finish this annoyance.

You can ask GForce,Adaml or Crackdown to help you out with the level modifier.

ReyVGM, he's on HG101 and contributes codes around here as well.

Thanks for the speedy reply, btw.

Yep, AdamL who gave up beating all USA NES games just shy of 3 games.

And GForce, who will never finish because there are some Japanese games that won't give it up.

It's on his signature, I don't remember the names. He also never finished his NES Ending FAQ on Gamefaqs. Bastard.

Heh, I just did most of these myself, I just tried your invincible code and I still die using it, the one I found I think works better, you can't even die by falling you just appear again at the top of the screen, which can be useful in other ways in some areas.

                  You should have posted/hacked faster!

My memory addresses protect against enemies and come from the 'guitar item', yours are artificial and are not triggered by the game at any time from my findings.

                  Some more:

                  C:Infinite "Cookies"|00B0:39|Rune|

                  Improved:

C:Max Score|00A9:39<br>00AA:39<br>00AB:39<br>00AC:39<br> 00AD:39|Rune|A9 is tens of thousands, AA is the thousands digits, AB is hundreds, AC is tens, AD is ones.

                  * Now its truly 'max score' since any lower has no effect on your score from my testings.

It's triggered when you get hit, it goes from 00 to 80.

Thanks for that. But testing in Fceux, level 6 seems kind of screwed up and crashes alot.

Okay, edit. Turns out the code doesn't work from the get go, except when you input it before you finish level 5, then it seems to load the level correctly.

Really? It worked when I had it toggled on upon boot. I don't suggest leaving level modifier codes on when you are inside a level though. Some games it will cause the game to crash and/or do other glitchy things. Fun times are had when the game loads level 4's level structure into level 6, for example.

It worked okay when entered before finishing level 5 as noted above. And it loaded the level perfectly. I got to the ending without problems as a result. Thanks to everyone here.

If anyone wants a save at the begining of Stage 6 I can share btw.

Found these too. Kind of useless but more amusing than practical:

                              C:Always Jump/Running Address (Blue Character)|0031:01|Rune|
