Fusion Codes Don't Work

Hello there.
I am trying to use cheats for various Master System games but I can't seem to get the codes to work. Take James "Buster" Douglas Knockout Boxing for example. I try entering in "00C1-28A0" for the code and the emulator (Fusion) tells me "Invalid Code or Too Many Codes". I read that the code is actually supposed to be written as "00C128:A0" so I tried that. The code gets entered into the emulator but the cheat doesn't work at all. I tried these cheats on a couple other games to make sure it wasn't just that one game and the other games still did the same thing. I would appreciate someone's help, as this is really frustrating me.

Edit: if you get the file before this, get this new one. It works since I fixed the fusion output.

I'm sorry, how do I use this patch? I've never had to use one of these before.
Also, silentkiller, I'm trying to use the invincibility cheat, not the character modifier. Those cheats aren't working either.

First get the one I just replaced in the post above. Then put it in the fusion directory and make sure it has the same name as your rom, except with the .pat extension instead of sms or whatever.

When the game loads, it should say that cheats were loaded with it. Then you can go to the GG/PAR window and activate the cheats. To activate them, just click them so they're blue.

I did exactly that and then I tried the invincibility cheat, but it still doesn't work.
I put the PAT file in my Fusion folder, made sure it's exactly the same name as the rom (James Buster Douglas - Knockout Boxing.sms and James Buster Douglas - Knockout Boxing.pat). Maybe I'm doing something wrong?
I closed out of the emulator, and ran the emulator again and loaded the ROM, but it doesn't say anything about the cheats being loaded, and when I open the GameGenie/PAR window, there's nothing there.

Did you get the file I re-upped? Did you go to the cheat window (alt-g) and click the cheats so they're blue?

The invincibility cheat is not technically that. It should be called Infinite Energy.

I've tested this myself. They work.

Yes, I re-downloaded the file and renamed it exactly to what my ROM was except I named the extension .pat and it still doesn't work. I load up the emulator and the ROM and the emulator still says nothing about cheats being loaded. I go into the GameGenie/PAR menu and still there's nothing. Maybe I've got an outdated version of Fusion or something. If there was recently a newer version, then that may be the problem, but I don't think that's it. I may also have an outdated ROM, but I also tried cheats for Alien Syndrome and Fantasy Zone and they don't seem to work either.

Go into the fusion config and check your paths. There's a GG/PAR tab I think where you can specify where to look for cheat files. Make sure GG and Par are pointing to your current folder.

There is a Prototype version of that game floating around, but I doubt that's your problem.
