  • Game Genie code "How to" class...

While hacking new Game Genie codes for Shadowrun (Genesis), it occurred to me that there was no way I would ever have enough time to hack all the "stat" type codes needed for that game. Stat codes are the codes that change characters starting stats. In Shadowrun, they are codes like: starting weapons, ammo clips, medkits, grenades, attributes, armor, etc.

Would anyone be interested in learning how to make those types of Game Genie codes? These are one of the easiest types of Game Genie codes to make. No need to use a debugger/tracer, no assembly language, and don't even need to do any RAM searching. But these are real Game Genie codes, and they'll work on real hardware.

Here's all you'll need: The Shadowrun ROM (USA), a hex editor, and a Game Genie conversion program (there's a good one here at GH.org). You'll need to know how to use a hex editor, but they're fairly easy to learn.

If anyone's interested, I'll start a thread in the "School of Hacking" section.

You forget one program called "Calculator" to convert decimal values to hexdecimal values.

If Paulosblade ask you to hack 2 more games.
    1) Romance of Three Kingdom 3
    2) Pirates Gold!

Will you take up the challenge to hack these two games?

Give this shit up about Paulosblade, anyone will hack what they want for whoever they want. Instead of going off track again in a thread about nothing to do with him how about saying "Yes Tony I would like to learn how to make these codes" and improve what you can hack.
