i can play this game on my genesis but not my game genie hampering a hardware test of some codes can someone see if there is some sort of protection
on it ?

It runs fine on my emulator (Gens), even with a GG code enabled. This means it's not a checksum issue. We can probably figure out a code to fix your problem, but since I have no way of knowing if the codes work or not, you'll have to do all the testing.

Here's a couple to try. Try them one at a time, then if neither one works, try both together...
