Gemfire Sega Genesis Code question- As Lankshire... does the DEFECT ALWAYS fail?

I'm being King Eselred with SilentKiller's code *thank you very much Silent even though we've had our differences in the past few days* I'm just curious if it's normal for the King to ALWAYS be denied in DEFECTION no matter how high my charm is, and if so, can this be cured somehow? Anyone working on the family relation code by the way? helder said he had it going in "20 minutes" which turned out to be a fluke, and gave up for a while so I'm still looking for someone to make an age code and a family relation code *meaning they can be successors to that family*. Paying from $10 to whatever it takes, provided people actually make the code correctly! Thanks.
