A shout out to the forum admins for finally getting me back on.

But that's not the reason for this post. I need a couple of FFV codez if anyone could be kewl enough to hack 'em.

All Damage Reduced to Zero - Tried two different Infinite HP codez and it ain't happening, I still get wiped out by Omega, dude does too much damage to survive and kill. So if someone could hack a code to make all damage 0 no matter how strong the attack that'd be majorly kewl.

    Dash (World Map)

    and

Auto Dash (World and Town Map)

    Thanx all!

    Re: FFV Code Request

The ubb knows when people are talking about it. It lets you login now because it's afraid it's secret will be found out... Seriously. That is, unless somebody did do something, and didn't say anything about it... Wait, for all I know, somebody did, and posted about it, but I never thought to check... Oh well...

Interesting code ideas. I'm guessing that the first one is almost certainly going to be some funny little asm hack. Always wanted to try making one like it, but never thought of a game that didn't have something like it already. I must've been too lazy to go and check... The other two might be something really dead simple, or near impossible. But trying IS part of the entertainment, even if it's almost certainly an impossible to hack sort of code.

Welcome Back BelGarion , glad to see my post about getting you in made wheels turn. errr then again, could be a small UBB bug....which is sorta scary now with all the codes newly being ahcked and added I ahve yet to get to---yet (LMZ's CT name mods for one set, those Fifth Element ones for the other blahhh and Helder's SNES Tornament fighters... reminds me of all the 'lost' work on the old old boards...gahhh time for back ups soon enough already.)

Anyway for the time being, not sure these would be of any interest to you, but off of my GSPro below is the code I use to 'be invicible' not sure if this is one of thsoe you already tried, but with my playing of FF5 it did great. (also note err sorry not played FF5 in years now) so not sure, but thoguht I'd post anywya, as it may be helpful?

This other code makes everything 'die' as soon as it appears on the screen. Abit fast for 'fights' but well, has it's great purpose if you wanna just run through every enemy in the game...even Omega. he appears and then puffs, is dead...so until LMZ looks into those code requests these two codes may be of some interests, maybe?

        Re: FFV Code Request

Kewl. Let me check. I can understand the first four lines, as 270F is 9999 but what is the last four lines that set them addresses to 0000 ? <saves, resets, and checks> The first four (The 270f ones> I already have and still have to heal now and again as even though it says 9999 in battle you check after battle and see your hps have dropped. I'll try adding the 0000 lines and see what happens. I hope LMZ comes though soon, as I am up to world three already and have two of four lithographs needed before heading into the N-Zone where Omega lives. I might have to hold off until LMZ figures it all out.

Oh, LMZ? On the Town Maps if you hit Circle and hold it they do dash, but there is no auto dash like many of the other FF games have, so the auto dash would do essentially what Circle does with out holding Circle and wearing out one's thumbs. But it's tooth grindingly slow on the World Map if you are stuck walking as there is no dash at all, so its like "Hurry up already, jeeze, what takes you so long walking to that castle? " if ya know what I mean?

Amy knows the bug in the UBB, it'd log me in then log me right back out. Now it's finally letting me log in with out logging me out instantly. But I see I got issues with MSIE 6, it's not downloading all the images yet another PC of mine is so it's back to the drawing board for MSIE. If anyone wants to hack a D code to Activate / Deactivate I'd not be apposed to it.

        Time Code (Town Map) : 8002EAFC 8CDC
        Time Code (In Battle) : 80025C70 8CDC

Oddly enough, at least for me, to figure out the data bits (the last four) ya got to take the number of min. you want and mulitply it by 60 then by 60 again thus 10x60 is 600x60 is 36000, 36000 hex is 8CDC. And yes, I do know that in battle the seconds looks funny, haven't figure it out, but the time is definately frozen.

            Re: FFV Code Request

Hmm... You didn't by any chance update either windows or ie before you started having login problems? If you did, it might be worth taking a look at your security settings, specifically the ones involving cookies...

Well, finally got off my ass and hacked one of the codes you wanted. Took a few hours... And might need work still, but it does work so far.

            No Damage To Characters
            E302E047 0003
            8002E02E 0000
            E302E047 0003
            800EDE5A 2400
            E202E047 0003
            800EDE5A 34A5

All it does is change a piece of asm that handles the damage reading and sets the damage value to 0, when it's the enemy's turn, and changes the asm back to normal when it's a character's turn, so you can actually do damage... For some reason, there may be odd graphical problems with the hero's name in battle. Seemed to go away after the first battle with the code on though. There may be other problems, as this code isn't off outside of battle, and I can't seem to hack a line to deal with that...

              Re: FFV Code Request

Kewl! <imports the code to test it> I'd suggest a set of "D" codes that tell it if you are in battle or not in battle, if in battle activate the codes if not in battle deactivate the codes. Seen it done in other games, notiably FF7 for some of it's In Battle Codes. But the address will be different in FFV than FFVII (Duh! ) but same concept. Thanx dude!

              BelGarion

Update: Yeah it needs some serious work. It randomly changes the main character's job (Knight at first then Hunter) and other oddness, like suddenly having my hps roll backwards on the other three but the main char. hps are uneffected, and stuff like that. But it's still effective when it isn't doing wierd things, so thanx for the work so far LMZ, hope ya get the bugs out of it soon.

                Re: FFV Code Request

Ah, well, that's to be expected. I tried finding the line for doing that, but it might take awhile. There's another possibility, it could be fixed to be a manual code, where you have to switch the asm hack on/off in battle... Very inconvient, but it would get rid of the other problems.

                Manual Disable Damage
                D0074FF0 FFFE
                8002E02E 0000
                D0074FF0 FFFE
                800EDE5A 2400
                D0074FF0 FFFD
                800EDE5A 34A5

I think, this would be R2 Disables, and L2 enables.
The way to use it, is hit the disable button when you're going to get attacked, and then when you want to attack, hit the enable button.
It will conflict with the default settings of the graphics refresh code, if you're using it for some reason.

I'll try to come up with something better than this, if I can.

                  Re: FFV Code Request

Yeah, that's a pain in the neck and doesn't resolve the wierd issues. Then again this game is wierd. 99% of the games if you lock the hit points it'll be an infinite hp code. Some, like TOP, it's a seperate address it copies current hp to and use that then after it'll copy back what you got left over after battle. But TOP I found the address right off and locked it. This one that address is no where in the character data block. Known value searchs have come up with nothing. Two possible addresses, locking one doesn't do it, the other I know only locks the display and not the real value as with it on Bahamut handed me my arse yet it never changed from 9999. So I hope ya get this working soon, I am up to Omega already.

Ummm well, not exactly sure what nor why the 'invicible' code (as I have it listed in my GSPros) has those lines with the 0000's at the end. I know the first line is hex digits for 9999 (as you said 270F ='s 9999) the zeros, I do not know, just know that is the codes I use, well used when playing the game. (been awhile sense I played it.)

The zeros, might be for 'time'? or maybe for enemy HP? (such as the other code is and was for, but that, I thought is/was a whole different code...umm anyway, not really sure, I am sorry.... but is what I use...well used years ago. )

I ought to give up on the no damage code, at least for now, as it's too buggy even if it was convient to use. Not sure why though... I'll take a look into hacking an asm infinite hp sort of code. I'm not sure if I can though, being that I'm using only a gspro and no computer at all... But I'm going to try anyway.

Whoah, that sucks. But yeah, its buggy but it does the trick if ya don't mind finding your hero a different Job and your Learned Jobs suddenly higher than maximum as he learned 'new' jobs. But I wish ya best of luck on the endevor. I know I tried to hack an infinite hp code and got no where. The two addresses I came up with don't do anything except hold the numbers displayed at 9999 but not the actual hps. Thanx dude, ttyl!

Son of a ... Ok, code totally fails for Omega, he is still doing damage and handing me my arse. That's wierd as I took out Bahumat with out taking a scratch with the code though with out he handed me my arse. Now that's f-in wierd. The whole damage system seems to be wierd. , I am using active battle not wait battle , so there are no turns essentially. Get back to ya shortly if switching it helps.

Update: Nope, no help, but I got a lucky blow in, !SSHOT with two swords that did 9999 all 8 times, took out Omega swiftly. Doesn't mean I don't want the code, yes, I want that code still, very much so, for next time, and with the save game tucked away, I can still go back and test it too.

                            Re: FFV Code Request

I'm starting to think, that the location for the actual hp values is going to be either in the 80000000 - 80010000 range, or not actually in the normal memory... Which is unfortunately, entirely possible. But, it does have to copy the value to change what the graphics are... So it might be possible anyway... This would be so much easier if I had a computer... Then I could disassemble the entire ram and probably find what I'm looking for immediately... Or get close to it. I'm going to keep trying to figure it out, it's kind of bugging me that I haven't yet...
