  • Codetwink.com Mirror (cheats only)

Yesterday I made a mirror of cheats.codetwink.com with Offline Explorer and now I've got a fully browsable copy of codetwink in case the site ever goes offline. The only additional work that needed to be done was fixing up links to the site's CSS. It's just the cheats for all the systems the site covers. This means no saves, CBCs, forums, etc.

I figured others might want the mirror too, so here's a link to it: http://www.mediafire.com/?aeta868ym7qs5sw
It'll extract to ~590MB. That's some damn good compression considering the 7z is only 10MB! If this violates any rules, please remove the link.

Edit: http://www.mediafire.com/?6esafe22240yxr2 <-- Use this link if the first one didn't work. This one's a regular zip file.

I'm getting an unsupported compression error using 7z. Is there anyway that you can upload a WinZip file instead?

Dang, I used that site a lot before I came here. That sucks, I don't suppose anyone has a backup of it.

I should have looked further up I suppose, but FireFox automatically scrolls down to the last post.

Hmm, seems like he disabled new registrations on the forum for the time being.
I only bother with things that interest me.

It looks like a Geocities site from 2001. And how is it that the ultimate hacker never backs up anything? The last time I looked at the CodeTwink forum, most of the sections were inactive, and the active ones were rather slow. Since the database disappeared about once a year from 2003 - 2009 (that I know of) there wasn't any history to worry about, and there wasn't a whole lot of new content to lose this time around. Still, schedule a backup, fool.

I recall CMX mentioning how he used to save everything. I believe he mentioned this in a "Hackers of Lore" interview.

Careful Pyriel; "X gonna give it to ya" calling him names. If you have no idea what I'm referring to, there was a webpage with CMX' head and some DMX lyrics. I don't remember the link, though.

I think you mean this ancient-ass YTMND: CMX Gon' Give It to Ya. I'm a little ashamed that I remember it.
