  • Burning Heroes(Nekketsu Tairiku)(J) PAR codes

I patched the English translation of this game, made by Dynamic Designs, found on Romhacking . com into the common (J) rom. (Must be unheadered) & began making PAR codes for it with ZSNES. So far, I have only made codes for the first of eight scenarios, for Ryuu the fighter, & friends. However, the codes for the secondary chars work no matter what scenario they appear in.

There's a walkthrough for this game on Gamefaqs that includes a "No Random Battles" code, as well as some "Infinite Money" codes, but I made my own money code. Since I don't post other peoples' codes unless they ask me, I am not posting the "No Random battles" code.

When using the "stats" codes, keep them off until U fight one battle with the "Exp. points" codes on for each char, so they reach Level 50, then DC the "Exp." codes & activate the "stats" codes. (I did not make "MP" codes for chars that don't use magic.) Also, Power, Speed, Stamina, & Wisdom codes have a max value of 255, while Attack, Defense, Agility, & Magic power codes have a max value of 999.(Hey, that's the way the Japanese made the game!) Also, the "Magic Power' codes seem to affect the regular attack of non-magic users, so I've included them.

Also, anyone wishing to make codes for this game, don't feel as if you're throwing me under the bus. I make codes for the enjoyment of all, and I don't care if anyone builds on my work, long as I get credit for what I've done. I'm gonna keep working on the other scenarios; will post 'em as I make & test 'em.

That said, here are the codes:

I am coming along the with the "stats" codes for the other chars. I have a few modifications to make on the above codes, so, Chroniclers, gimme a couple of days B 4 U upload'em.. I'll try to put ALL the codes in that one post to make'em easier to upload.

Meanwhile, all the above codes work; I just have a little window dressing(notes) to include with'em. BTW, this looks to be one of the better action/RPG SNES games.

Thanx, Helder. I'll experiment & see if I can make codes for all stats for each slot soon as I finish making the individual chars' codes. Hopefully, I, or someone, can make such codes to make all the individual char codes unnecessary. Also, I'll find values for the PM meter to maybe have permanent "Hot-Blooded" attacks.

Not working as fast on the rest of the codes right now; my grandson is visiting, plus, I'm on midnite shift this week.

For anyone else playing this game: Be sure to save each scenario on the Save Points in the ROM itself, in order to unlock the secret chars. I saved each of mine at the beginning of Cosmion, since this is a short episode near the end of each scenario. To unlock the secret char for each regular scenario, save the scenario at a save point within the game, complete the scenario, run thru the entire ending, and RESET THE GAME, hitting then reset button on your controller twice. The secret char for that scenario should be unlocked & selectable.

Apparently we're using the same rom, Helder, as your codes work for me. Your codes for HP are better than mine, as we don't hafta use individual codes for each char. I've decided to try to make codes based upon what you've provided; I have hacked some codes for Attack & Defense for Slot 1, but it's tedious work, as the game won't display the modified stats with the codes on. I'll post'em as I test'em.

Use Geiger's SNES9x since it has a hex viewer which is basically a memory viewer that you can edit in real time and also see what changes in real time, thats what I used to find the codes quickly. I did notice stats don't change unless something makes them do a check like lose hp or equip something.

MY THANX TO HELDER for giving me a starter point to hack all the "slots" codes! Unfortunately,I'm still purging the aftermath of a virus attack in my PC ( 9-yr-oldGrandson accidentally opened an email attachment) & can't yet get Geiger's great tool to work. However, I was able to hack the codes below with ZSNES.

The rom I used is the (J) rom found on a commonly-used rom site. It's unheadered, so the great Dynamic Designs patch is easily applied.

I've played the whole game through with these codes, & the only prob i've found is in the Choc/Clar scenario in the underground shrine where Taiga dies. The game spouts gibberish & freezes. Fortunately, I'd saved the game just before this scene, and I DCd all codes, and the game worked normally. I then rebooted up the codes & had no more probs.

I didn't try to make codes for Power, Stamina, Speed and Wisdom, as they seem to be controls for Attack, Defense, Agility, and Magic Attack & thus unnecessary.

These codes work with any char, any weapon. The only max stats that are displayed are for HP/MP, butAttack, defense, Agility, and Magic Attack are all value 999 & don't change if your char changes weapons, armor, level, etc. In other words, these are "god mode" codes.

I'm not gonna make/post any more individual char codes, nor make Item codes, as the following codes make'em unnecessary.

              AGAIN, THANK U, HELDER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So these are in battle codes correct? like what I posted above? also just modify my EXP after battle code to have everyone level up without the need of many codes and good work on finding all of the slot codes.

Yes, these are in-battle codes. Using them, you can still have your controllable chars to cast magic or use Hot-Blooded.

Again, THANX TO YOU, HELDER, for "unlocking" the database so I could make them. I'm repairing my PC piece by piece, & hope to be able to run Geiger's SNES9X B4 forever.

                    S'more codes for Burning Heroes:

Have eight pairs Jump Shoes Note: Values above 8 won't work, and you must obtain a pair of Jump Shoes in the first Items slot before activating these codes; otherwise they won't work.
