yeah... when i was saying Ventureman's site, cheatzilla, i meant his site as in the site that he mentioned, where he posts (other people's) cheat codes.

What you should take from all of this ventureman, is that code credit in this community is taken very seriously. Don't post codes that you didn't hack without the actual hackers name, and to be honest, you really don't need to post codes here that aren't findable with a simple google search.

Some might say that a lot of our codes in the database are missing credit. We are working to fix this for the new site. We want to be fair in crediting where it's due.
Please put all complaints in writing and submit them here.

yeah if there was human interaction with that site those codes would not be posted. cheatzilla is a fill in the blank code database . its basically a paint by numbers code site its all hand fed
it becomes like doing the SAT's i think at one time there was some humans there but the site in its own right has died they left an easy to do fill the the blank site engine for adding codes
the site itself is nothing to really worry about

I've only heard one or two people say that about this site. Granted I haven't been here for long, but the time I have been, I've seen every code posted here receive proper credit. Also, I believe that the reason why some of the codes in the database are missing credit is because there are so many damn codes that it is impossible to track down all of the creators. But I know that every new code added to the database here, definitely receives proper credit.

At the very least when you post a code that isn't yours, if you don't know who found it, just say "hacker unknown". That way, you're not taking credit for what someone else did. Sometimes, I like to find interesting or crazy codes found on other sites that haven't been added to this one. If at all possible, I try to find out who made that code so I can give the proper credit.
Hacking games is always fun because you don't know what's hidden in the game.

I think what ReyVGM is saying is the fact that Ventureman is crediting himself for codes that he did not create. He is acting as if he created the codes when he really didn't. It doesn't matter if he is new to this website. That has nothing to do with it. He is stealing credit for codes that he did not create and posting those codes on his own website and this website. So what does stealing credit for other people's codes have to do with your excuse of being new to this website? Nothing. We can't stop you from posting codes on your own website that you pretend to make. But we can atleast prevent you from trying to do that to this website.

                  haha

You can find out on your own if these codes are in the database by checking out both the databases of this site. This site has two databases. Here they are, check them out before posting any other codes please:

                  http://gamehacking.org/?s=v2

                  http://gamehacking.org/?s=bsfree2

Out of curiousity, does Ventureman even know how to hack cheat codes?

Yeah that is unfortunate. But atleast sites, like GSCentral.org, that take all the codes from this site everyday gives proper credit. 99% of GSCentral.org's new updated NES codes are taken from this site. But they give proper credit to the code creator. Sites like Ventureman's cheatzilla.com, do not give proper credit.

As you can see here: http://gscentral.org/updates.html
After you click on the game in which new code/s have been created for, you still have to manually search for the game (I don't know why). But once you finally reach the game's cheat code page, you will see how that site gives proper credit to it's creator from GSHI.org. Even though majority of GSCentral's new updated retro (NES, SNES, and now MAME) codes have been taken straight from GSHI everyday, they still give proper credit to it's creator. So Ventureman, you should really start giving proper credit to the codes you have on your website, just like other websites do.

I did not make cheatzilla.com I'm just a normal member there besides when posting codes on there it would not let me credit the original person.

On cheatzilla I wanna give proper credit to the people that make these codes but that website is not like GSCentral or Gamehacking.org.

That Mega Man X5 code works please try it ok I used that code it works just fine.

Thats unfair to call me a troll.

1.I did not make those codes yes I did take those to post here but I was not claiming those were mine.
2.All I was doing was trying to help I'm new to this place so how was I supposed to know.
3.I'm not trying to take credit for other peoples codes I was just posting those because I thought those were not on this website.
4.I joined this place so I can help I had no Idea people would get mad at me for something I did not know.

Thats how I will put it.

Good. The next offense will result in a permanent ban. As someone stated above, it's fine to post codes that aren't yours, as long as you give proper credit to the hacker, or state clearly that the hacker I unknown.

Note: Any mods or other administrators reading this, please understand I'm not taking credit for other peoples codes.

Years ago I painstakingly made genesis codes with a PAR, and anyone who's ever done that can tll you what a pain in the ass it was. When the Internet came out, I posted some of them on some now-defunct sites, and became quite pissed for a little while when I saw many of them on other sites with someone else getting the credit. Then I remembered that I didn't own the only Gen PAR on earth, and many others coulda hacked the same codes & posted them first on other sites.

Recently, I hacked some SNES codes that someone else had already made long ago, and I hadn't discovered. Since then, I have simply Googled any codes i've made(Yes, the code itself!) and searched all sites known to me, to avoid KoppyKatting. Anyone new to codehacking should remember there have been millions of hackers grinding away over the last 25-or-so years, and naturally many hackers have come up with the came codes for a given game.

Phil, I thought the same exact thing when I hacked a bunch of SMS codes on an actual Pro Action Replay back in the 90s. They ended up on a SMS site maintained by a fellow named Richard Good. However, he listed all the codes and there was only a slight mention that some of the codes were hacked by me and one other guy, but the specific codes weren't credited. Then I figured they were simple codes that could have been hacked by anyone, so the irritation went away.
