An ending for Mega Man's Soccer!?

No wonder why I couldn't find the reference to the staff roll routine... I couldn't find a reference to the routine that referred to the staff roll. Very tricky programming. And that even explains why there was more than one reference to the ending tune!

All I can say is... that's an unusual way to show a staff roll. And I personally confirmed the above method with no cheat codes required.

Are you sure Capcom wanted that to be an actual cheat to see the credits?

I don't know myself, but I can safely say it might have been the developers that wanted to program that in there, and they made a very well hidden cheat code. Then I guess they sealed it shut by preventing Dr. Wily from being selectable.

By the way... the American version did not localize the field names in Exhibition mode. "Rock Field" and "Blues Field" are the two that I'm specifically pointing at.

Cool ending That game is way too hard to finish with all the cheating going on.Is there a way You can find the ending More Megaman 7 for the SNES? I just got through the PS2 version and it's the dull boring Japanese one with the black screen and credits not the US one with Mega walking as Wily's base is destroyed. PAR or GG is fine

Brought this topic back because there are two endings for this game, not one. I found the full ending thanks to JLukas by removing a jump. Then, I looked up the game again and removed a second jump, unlocking the ending for... tournament mode!

Rockman's Soccer has no difference whatsoever except for the cast roll.

And with that, that's all three hits for the supposed ending tune covered. I've got no more here.

League Mode does not appear to have an ending, unless I'm missing something... there's no more hits for 5C xx xx 80 (jump back to the Title Screen from the ending routine).

Haha, amazing. Things are still being discovered for this game!

Now that you found the Tournament ending, I'm pretty sure League should have an ending too. It goes abruptly to the title screen just like the other two modes.


Exhibition probably doesn't because that mode never has an ending on any sports game I've tried.

Wouldn't count on it. Zapping every hit for CA 81 (80) does no good. Plus, I only got three hits for the ending tune, and all three have been identified (one of them being the secret staff roll)... unless something extremely unlikely were to occur (like me missing an indirect... I'll admit, I haven't found something that would solely alter the Title Screen yet...), I can't give you a definite yes on there being an ending for League Mode. If there were even remotely an ending for League Mode, either it might use an indirect or it uses some other piece of music. No clue.

IF the only ending the game had was for the Championship mode, then I would agree that League probably didn't have an ending since Tournament didn't have one either. But now that the Tournament ending has been found, then I'm certain League must also have an "ending". League ends exactly the same way Championship and Tournament ended: abruptly. If both of them had endings, then League must have one too. Exhibition doesn't end though, it just asks you to retry.

Maybe JLukas will find the League ending months from now just like he found this one :P
