  • Questions / Requests / Codes for Dune 2000 - PS1

I used to have Command & Conquer: Red Alert Retaliation for PS1 & the codes that were listed in the BS Free section were very useful for that game. The ones I really liked were the building, vehicle, troop, & special weapon menu modifiers. One thing that was neat is by playing with the digits, you could make bunches Einstein's, Tanyas, & civilians.

    1. ***Is it possible to have a build menu modifier like this for Dune 2000?***

I also remember that there was a build anywhere code at one time (for C&C: RAR). This came in handy bacuse you could build structures well away from your own. You could even build a structure on an enemy's base without capturing a building. What was even more fun was building brick walls in front of approaching enemies. The tanks would be distracted by destroying the walls.

The code for the game required a joker because it would cause the FMVs to mess up & even sometimes freeze.

    2. ***Is it possible to have a build anywhere code for Dune 2000 also? Since there is sand & rock, it may need to be two separate codes. I'm just guessing.***

    3. Instant mission completed w/ joker.

    4. Atreides, Ordos, & Harkonnen have all building options at all times. Even if the required structures haven't been built.

    5. Atreides, Ordos, & Harkonnen have the ability to build opposing force's structures, troops, & use their weapons. Example: Atreides has the ability to use the Death Hand Missile (normally used only by the Harkkonen).

    6. Building a structure on rock without concrete doesn't damage it.

I was needing mainly the 1st two for the Gameshark.

Game Shark codes for Dune 2000 - PS1

These only seem to work with House Atreides.

    Atreides Starport Quantity Modifiers

    Trike Quantity Modifier
    800E093C 00??

    Quad Quantity Modifier
    800E0944 00??

    Harvester Quantity Modifier
    800E0948 00??

    Combat Tank Quantity Modifier
    800E094C 00??

    MCV Quantity Modifier
    800E0958 00??

    Missile Tank Quantity Modifier
    800E095C 00??

    Siege Tank Quantity Modifier
    800E0964 00??

    Carry All Quantity Modifier
    800E0974 00??
NOTE: Normally you can only select up to 6 of any combination of these units when using the Starport. However, this will allow you to set the quantity you want beyond the normal limits. If you have too the value set too high, you will hear the computer say "order placed", but there will be no delievery. Keep the numbers reasonable & you should have no problems. Don't try to adjust the number of units you can select on the screen, just hit the "place order" button.

        Edited:
The starport quantity modifiers that I listed only work with the Atreides missions. I will change these in the database also. I played the Ordos missions with those codes active & it blacked out some of the vehicles. I'll post the others as soon as I find them.

I'd like to say a big thanks to Hybrid for helping me out with this code:

            Build structures almost anywhere
            30101E34 0001
NOTE: This will allow you to build structures almost anywhere you want even on sand. Before you place a building, the squares will be red. First you need to place concrete. You can even put concrete in shrouded areas. Concrete will not appear on the sand, but it will allow you to see through that part of the shrouded area. Then you can place any structure you want. However, bear in mind that structures won't have full health because it sits on the sand. You can also place structures on an enemy's base too. But again, you have to put concrete down first.

This is probably a completely useless code, but I'll go ahead & share it:

Turns the construction yard into a research center
              801952F8 0001

What makes this useless is that you won't be able to build any structures to build your base. I found it while attempting to find codes that modify the build structure menu.

I noticed that these codes were posted under the wrong Dune 2000 game. They were put under Dune 2000 (PAL-S) & should have been placed under Dune 2000 (NTSC-U). I went ahead & deleted the ones under PAL-S & put them under NTSC-U.
