Ah okay. It's good to know this one isn't tied into horrible knots like other games...

Got some more codes, part of my "Nemo and Friends Can Fly" patch project (which is almost done).

    Code:
    Faster Left/Right Frog Movement
    VYUUIKNN
    PEKLYGAA
    SYSLYKVN
    ZESUGGPA

    Faster Left/Right Lizard Movement
    SYNUZOVN
    ZEUULPPA

    Faster Left/Right Gorilla Movement
    SYUUPKVN
    ZEELGGPA

    Faster Left/Right Mouse Movement
    SNVUIVVN
    ZAUUAYPA

    Faster Left/Right Bee Movement
    VYULLNNN
    ZEELTYPA
    SYKUINVN
    ZEXLAYPA
Whether these codes are good or bad depends on the type of gamer you are, I suppose. If I didn't tie up loose ends, that will also factor in, but you should tell me if that's happening or not

      Flying Patches

      Hi,

Attached is a ZIP containing two patches. One allows normal (slow) flight, the other fast flight. A readme is also included.

Like before, you jump or fall off a platform to start flying and use the D-Pad to control your movement.

      Files Summary

      Nemo (U) - FlyingHack (normal).ips
      • Nemo, Frog, Lizard, Mole, Gorilla, Mouse and Bee can fly

      Nemo (U) - FlyingHack (fast).ips
      • Nemo, Frog, Lizard, Mole, Gorilla, Mouse and Bee can fly
      • Nemo, Frog, Lizard, Gorilla, Mouse and Bee can move quickly

I have fixed the on-edge platform errors present in my last flying cheat, so the movement should be perfect now.

If any of you play these, let me know how they work and if there are any errors!

I will surely be testing these out as soon as I get a chance to.

I have a question... where are the patches stored in the code Database? If there isn't a place where patches are stored, maybe there should be alittle section where they are. Or have a sticky thread in one of the forum sections with all the patches attached there. I just don't want patches like this one to get lost or forgotten about.

Having a place for patches here at GameHacking would be great. There is always romhacking.net. Oh yeah, that site is another good place to find games you might have missed, as new translations are being made all the time. Just now I saw something interesting called "For the Frog the Bell Tolls," which was a GB title whose game engine was eventually used for Link's Awakening. Definitely worth checking out

I think it would be cool to be able to export codes as a patch, but with bankswitching and all it's not too feasible. Maybe if there was a patcher that considered possible addresses and used the compare bytes.

I don't know how many patches this website has made. But I think there should be someplace on this website where people can download the patches people took time to make. Whether it be a sticky thread where all the patches are downloadable by attachments or whether it be a small little place in the code database where people can download them. I'll use BeyondTheStatic's Little Nemo: The Dream Master patch as an example. The patch only takes up a measley 1 KB of space. So storing the patches somewhere on this site shouldn't be a problem right? He took a good amount of time making it and it is a good patch. So it would be a shame if the patch gets forgotten about once this thread gets older and pushed back further from the most recent threads. Is there anything that could be done where people can see, all in one place, the patches this site has made?

By the way, the patches work fine. It was good that you included a Readme file (very professional looking) and included a fast and normal speed patch. Nice job.

BeyondTheStatic.... have you ever played "Nemo" on the arcade emulator MAME? It was only released in Japan and it's a good game but it's very short. Not many people even know that the game exists. You start off with the morning star and you have it the whole game. Throwing candy isn't part of that game. Finding an arcade cabinet of Nemo is pretty rare. I looked very hard on the internet to find a Nemo arcade cabinet but I came up empty. I couldn't even find a picture of the cabinet. I wanted to see what it looks like.

                Here's a video of the game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZOF0C9jyeWY

Nah, there aren't many arcade games that I like. I'm more into ARPGs

Thanks! It was definitely a fun hack to make, and a I learned quite a bit in the process. I'd like to eventually produce flying cheats for many of the great classics. W&Ws 2 might be the next one I tackle, unless I get carried away with my other projects...

It's definitely doable, space is certainly not the issue. Perhaps a sticky can be made, maybe by the moderator or an admin; you can ask Hybrid or helder to make one in the retro subforum. As far as a part of the site, let's see how popular they get before we devote an entire section to them.
